I got my 1 to 1 exchange from Huawei service center on Monday. Some thought to share, the manager at the service center, base on my experience, though he speak quite loudly & seems impatient, but to be fair, at least he try his best to explain the common feedback and try hard to be polite. Some of the complaint is quite unreasonable, but Huawei still provide the swap without any detailed checking on the device to make the customer happy with the purchase. I waited 2 weeks for my exchange unit too.

My first unit has unbalance white (blueish on top, yellowish at bottom), new unit have balance white (quite yellowish tho). I think it's true that google or Huawei made the nexus 6p to display yellowish white, and the color does change to blueish a bit when tilted, to me I'm fine with this as I think it's the characteristic of LED as compared to LCD.

There's an app name 'Screen Adjuster Free' in apps store which help to tune the color, I think some bro here using it, I notice the app request permission to get location, contacts & phone, not sure why it request for it, I revoked those permission from it, feel stealthy.

Anyone facing an issue whereby the phone is not fully charged to 100%? My device is usually off when it's charging. I'll remove it from the wall socket when the battery icon is full. When I switch it on it's usually only at 97% charged...

Mine is no problem. Never tried charging when phone is off. Always unplug the charger when I see "charged".

Why not you try charge it when the phone is on? See if it can reach 100%.

I think it's because the battery bar shows the charge by around 20% base (not sure), so when it reach around 90% or more, it shows full, but in fact it's just around 96% something.

Gotta realise something though. In line with many mass produced stuff, earlier hardware revisions are more susceptible to issues in general.

By buying early batches, we're here mostly buying into the higher than usual defect rates of products or even design oversights. That's also exactly why through product life cycles later hardware revisions are likely to be introduced with workarounds or fixes. Some are hardware, some are software.

Like the early N4, back glass cracking, later revisions introduced the 4 nibs on the corners.
-N7, touchscreen grounding issues.
-N5, small speaker grills/mic issues
-SD810 v1 vs. 2.1
-Phone cases v1, TGSP v1

The list just goes on and on. Can't always expect stellar QC from day 1. If you'd like that, consider waiting a quarter or so.

Good luck with getting your perfect 6p though, nonetheless.

This reminds me of my iPad 3rd Gen (1st Retina screen in iPad line). When it was just released. online there were also lots lots of complaints about the unbalanced color tint, yellowish tint of the screen.

i usually charge with my phone off, it charges faster than fast charging (i think...). i turn it on first before removing the cable so i never really experience less than 100%.
