The mi3 is a sd800..2.3 x 4
Mi4i is sd615 1.7x4 + 1.1x 4

In oure maths, mi4i is better.
Its a 64bit procesaor...so if 2015 apps start using it, mi4i is safer.
Will the lollipop be 32 bit or 64bit. A 64bit processor is useless with out the software. And remember this is not like good old PC days where it's that simple to install so Windows 2000 with 64 bits.

Thanks to a tip-off from mi community forum, went down to Xiaomi service centre to try the Mi 4i, specifically the camera

3 photos below; all in shutter priority mode [manual mode, shutter speed at 1/60s]

oAReVoU.jpg

iso921, 1/60s, f2

zC5nBB8.jpg

iso557, 1/60s, f2

v6ChvQg.jpg

iso414, 1/60s, f2

initial impressions; hope to test further
- camera startup quite fast
- autofocus speed ok
- manual mode, shutter speed can only set up to 1/60s, and not any faster. [hence, 2nd photo is blurry]
