Hi. Just came back from the campervan holiday. Very do-able. We rented Jucy campervan for 6 day (~A$450). All the campervan park, have shower/toilet facility and you can hook up power. The campervan park charge aroung A$36-A$50 per night.

We went to Lanecover campervan park (A$36) and Sherlee campervan park (A$52) and the campervan park in Blue mountain(A$50).

Our campervan was the 4 berth type which can sleep 4 person. 2 on top and 2 below.
Inside the campervan got gas stove and they provide towel/blanket/pillow/utensils/pot/pan...quite self contain.

They use unleaded petrol which cost A$1.5/ltr.

Will definitley try again. But maybe instead of Sydney to Sydney , try Melboure to Sydney...

haah...was about to start my 13-day NSW camper trip as family of 4, on request of a couple of edmwers, until i chanced upon yours. But mine is NSW wildside, 1,800km round trip north of sydney.

Sad that edmw zero interest in wild, outdoors and car-camping. Guess my thread will be no biz too..lol

Been on 4WD camper/3-berth campers to RV trucks in Darwin/Perth/Europe/NZ/US/Tasmania, gained a lot of knowledge. Unfortunately, I din see your thread in 1st May, else I would have help.

So you did the driving or your other half? Can share the van model/pics?

Feel free to drop in and share your adventures too at:

Looks like she gave up after waiting for answers here.

Glad that TS ventured to try car camping, she must have been very skeptical, citing her 'do-able', but frankly to me, it's comfortable and the real way for scenic/adventurous traveling. Hope she responds.
