M1 Data Passport @ China - can connect Facebook, Gmail ?

Anybody can confirm whether M1 datapassport @ China is subject to firewall ?

Last year, I went China and used M1 data passport, it was working ok. Hope it is still the same.

The last I heard, China does not ban foreign SIM card from accessing FB.

But things could change rather quickly in China .

Ya. Wasn't sure since this is my first time using it in china. Anyway let's hope it remain this way. Btw, most of the time I'm connected either 4G or 4G+ using S7E.

Works well. Fast enuff. Surf anything. Google, Instagram, twitter, youtube, etc all can access. No need buy pre-paid sim card. No need VPN.

You need to be M1 postpaid user that has an eligible plan.

For Singtel Data Roaming
China - $20 for 1GB for 30 Days ($10 Activation if using 1688 to activate)

For Starhub Happy Prepaid
Based on the plans you need.
$10/1.2GB/30Days
$15/2.4GB/30Days
$20/3.6GB/30Days
$5/1GB/3Days
$1/0.01GB/7Days

Maximum 100GB up to 30 Days
- Leftover data can extend by buying another Data Plan

Example for a 14 days trip, you can get:

Everything works like when in Singapore.
For any roaming SIM when inside China.

So yeah, WhatsApp works for everything. Photos/Videos/Voice/Chat.

Yes, Starhub's Prepaid Card, when activate Auto Roaming and with a Valid Data plan will have Happy Roam. Which can access everything like when you are in Singapore using any Telco SIM.

Just return from China, i can confirm that M1 data passport can access FB, WA, IG, Gmail.

all as per norm like in SG.
