[GPGT] My Taiwan 2013 Trip

Places visited: Alishan, Miaoli, Taipei
Total of 7D6N from 13th Mar to 19th Mar.
Departed Changi Terminal 2 at 0115H and touchdown at Taoyuan Terminal 2 at about 0520H. Took a cab to Taoyuan TRA Station(NT$490) cos 1st public bus to the place starts at 0631H and will take about 40mins. Booked 自強號 online to Chiayi at NT$505/pax for 0731H departure and arrived at Chiayi TRA Station at 1027H.

Met up with Fireworks79 and then bus up to 阿里山神禾民宿 ( ªü¨½¤s¯«¥Ý¥Á±J Alishan Lauya Homestay (Guesthouse,B&B ) ) which took about 1hr 30mins.

Lots of fog/mist so miss out sunset there, no luck with Sea of Clouds which another forumer saw at the minsu itself.

The peak area de hotel, commercialize. but I like the day time 9-10C, night time 5C and early morning -1C viewing sunrise.

The owner's pet..Forgot to ask the owner for it's name so we call him xiaohei..

The outdoor balcony. Reason for the message was that the western styled rooms is located under this balcony so might be abit noisy.

They sure put alot of effort into the decoration.

The other pet named "Yangyang"..Very friendly, keep looking for us..Follow us to the steps when we were heading back to the room and sat there hoping we will come back down to sayang him..We jio him walk out to parking lot to smoke, he also follow us..

The helpers at the minsu serve us tea and slice tomato..Didnt eat much of the tomatos(Very juicy) but yangyang likes it alot..

Here i wear wool sweater and jeans all the way except for sleeping. Down Taipei i wear 3/4 pants and jersey niax..

Ya, quite expensive for this period also due to the Sakura Season..

This one we book, about S$250 for my room for 2 nights..My friend room slightly smaller so about S$234 for 2 nights..

Walk back to old street to wait for the driver to bring us back to the minsu.

End of D+1..Need to go thru D+2 before uploading..

Day 2:
Woke up early morning to head to the viewing deck at the main area for sunrise..Cold..Was probably about 5-6degrees..Driver drove us up(about 30mins), took the train(Another 30mins)..trek to location(About 15-20mins up and down slope)

Alishan Forest Railway Station..

This is the upper deck..Need to trek over so ppl here much lesser than where the main deck is(Just outside the train station)..

No Gradual Density filter so make do abit..

Some stores selling food and drinks at the main viewing deck..Went to hoot a hot bowl of meatball + fishball soup..
