Just realized that the Sharp FUY30E is not HEPA filter?

Got any recommendations for air purifiers with HEPA filters that can cover 25m square (Budget below $200).

Thank you!

strange but the manual stated EN 1822 is H10 unless is incorrect...

or maybe I can get the filter that is HEPA...will it work?

online buying its ...

Amway ATMOSPHERE? Yes, it works, but jin sexpensive neh... like 2k+ per machine.

CADR converted to m3/hr
Wishper: 84
Low: 168
Medium: 252
High: 342
Turbo: 426

For me, personally I'd prefer multiple smaller machines for ease of repositioning and can spread out over the whole house.
Samsung AX40 (Qoo10)/AX41 (local equivalent)
LG LA-Q379 (Qoo10)/LG PS-R459 (local equivalent)

yea atmosphere.

thanks bro. anywhere i can get those models other than online ah>? scared need long waiting time den haze no more :s22:

Atmosphere 2k+ right? I only tiagong.

Can get those local equivalent models from normal electrical shops lor (but nowadays APs sell like hot cakes... so see your luck bah?)

See the thing is that APs aren't exactly tiny and takes up a lot of storage space. During non-haze time, this thing hardly ever sells, so can understand that retailers do not stock up too much inventory on APs... Especially last year 2014, I believe retailers stock up sizable amount of inventory but the haze turned out to be quite mild and earlier this year a lot of APs were on sale to clear stock.

So, when sh!t hits the fan, everything gets sold out.

Haze was very bad last Thursday.

So Friday after polling went to shop for air purifier at Parkway.

Havery Norman, nobody entertain me, so went Best Denki.

Guy recommended me Europace, HEPA filter, 3 years full warranty, WSL promo 2 for $599, original $599 ea, 1 sharp replacement filter can buy x3 filters(cheaper maintenance).

Asked salesperon why don't buy Sharp, he say sharp got +ve clusters suitable for 4 seasons country, not recommended for SG. Will make room more dry, as we are humid.

Initially wanted to buy 2 sets, so this makes an ideal choice.
So far i very easy to use, touchscreen control, the colour led shows the air quality and remte control and very easy to install.

Any comments?

Exact 1 week I received the Samsung ax40. Nice stuff

Just for reference, and if anybody else wondering when getting your spanking new AX40 and found that everything in the documentation is in Korean.

Buttons from left to right:
First four is touch buttons: On/off; Speed selection; VirusDoctor On/off (single touch) + filter change reset (hold a few secs); Child lock (hold a few secs)
Last four is speed indicator: Auto; High; Low; Sleep

Lights on the On/off touch button also functions as air quality indicator: blue, green, yellow, red (something like that)

VirusDoctor is Samsung's fancy name for ionizer function, default is OFF.

Just full blast all the way, can't hear a single thing :s22:

Those with Samsung AX40, is it too loud for bedroom?

Looking to upgrade since my current Panasonic AP doesn't have HEPA filter, and I like the additional features such as telling you when its done cleaning air.

Reason to get the AX40 instead of smaller model is for the times when I wanna be in the living room during haze period, my house no other AP and my current model cannot handle such capacity

thanks the background noise is louder than the AP lol

just ordered from Daiso while they still have it at $244.9 before shipping and got an additional filter.

my sis is taking over my current AP, it served me well 3 years ago during house reno but I think I probably paid about the same price as this AX40 and its without HEPA

There are just THAT MANY things you can add to air purifier... :s13:
- ionizer
- humidifier
- dehumidifier

It's mostly for marketing name, and possibly for trademark purposes...

Btw, how you guys place your AP?
I always place the back (Filter) side facing out as I have this thinking that if i do that will suck in more air to purify? haha.

But abit ugly coz i put near the wall area.

xiaomi's noise volume was tested in some post earlier. can search for it.

if u buy a AP thats very nice but noisy, u'll end up having it as a display instead of using it.
