Btw, any idea who to call to chase my BrickLink parcel from USA with USPS locally?

Your item departed a transfer airport in Changi, Singapore, SINGAPORE on May 22, 2015 at 8:59 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

hi everyone
its been a while since i logged in , and i have not been buying lego recently as well , due to a busy schedule and also lack of storage space at home.

anyway i did a quick check on resale prices on ebay.sg , and found that most of the sets that i had bought in the past year had risen in price. what surprised me pleasantly and unexpectedly is the price of 10228 haunted mansion which is asking for around $700. that is a cool 200% increase in price ( the rpp was US179.95) !! this beats any shares that i have bought in the past few years on the stock exchange.

of course one could always argue that lego stock is not so liquidable , and selling is not so easy as the click of a mouse. nonetheless to me , the paper profit is tidy and neat . other sets that have done rather well are the town hall and millenium falcon 7965 . i can understand perfectly now why some sets are always sold out and difficult to get , and will this lego bubble one day burst ?

Me too. Was not up todate with some of the current prices.
Was surprised at Haunted House price now. Still feel there is much room for increase. Same for TownHall.

True, the price does appreciate, but (1) space -- you need lots of space for inventory, (2) interim interest -- bank pay you interest, but unless you sell off the goods, there is no interest,

for me is wife.... she is the most dangerous enemy to lego. I only newbies, and she keeps nagging non-stop say i am a good-for-nothing old man and play children toys, and threaten to give away them to neighbours.

I can sympathetise other lego collectors when they have lots of NEW SET mint box, and still buy new ones...
