Heidelberg is lovely! Did you walk at Hauptstrasse? The chocolate store at the entrance is WOW!

actually i was very disappointed with Heidelberg. had quite a high expectation of it coz a lot of ppl recommend the place, and travel guides are also singing praises about the place.

i found the place too crowded and touristy, and it doesnt help that the weather was gloomy and raining with no snow at all. i am more of a nature person, and after so many days of beautiful snowscape in peaceful little towns, it was a complete let down to face the 'orchard road' kinda crowd in a cold yet snowless town.

maybe if i had started the trip from Heidelberg, i may have enjoyed the place.

walked through hauptstrasse, but didnt notice the choc store leh :(

Nice pics! :)

Hows the food there? The weather must be pretty cold.

weather is not too cold. lowest was -5 degrees in Berlin.

food was great... i had pasta, pizza and kebabs often coz these are the cheapest and most filling meals. i had quite a few meals in the christmas markets too coz sometimes a bit lonely to go into restaurants alone.

some tricksters doing business on Museum Island. they will place a ball under one of the 3 boxes, shuffle the box around and ask u to bet on where the ball is. looks so easy, but if it is that easy to guess, he will be making a big loss. saw a tourist losing 50 euro to him :s8:
