Go here Download ICS, name it german ICS.

Go here Download the cambodia demo version, name it international version.

Then read this.

This is what I'm using currently stock ICS, no custom roms, cause according to these guys on this thread the custom roms are not that good yet either they're buggy or have lovely memory management issues, and YES IT IS IN ******* ENGLISH NOT IN NAZI OR CAMBODIAN ****TY LANGUAGE.

It have been working fine for me so far, after a reboot I have 160mb of free ram, for the rest of the day I'm stable at about 120mb of free ram.

For rooting read this. The Huawei USB driver is actually on the phone itself, so just plug it in, and grab the file off your phone and install, enable USB debugging on your phone, run the root-me.cmd file and boom, your phone blows up. I heard superoneclick works with the honor, but I'm not sure.

Just a note that the huawei is not my main phone, just preparing it for my upcoming ICT, and the german stock rom that I'm using right now is working fine for me, as usual use these at your own risk.

I just purchase this phone from M1 today and have both the Huawei Cert + M1 letter. (M1 is selling $78 more than the outside handphone shops, so i guess this is price to pay if I need the telco letter.)

Thanks bro for your steps. There isn't a delicated forum in XDA for this phone thus information is so messy, not to mention the latest variants of firmware is mainly release in China but without the GAPPS. So confused on how to start with firmware update and root.

I have follow your guide and update to ICS + root. Restoring part of my Galaxy s3 apps on the phone right now via titanium backup. hopefully this phone can perform 50% of my main phone while i am working in "sensitive" places. :)

latest update from my USO is that MSD now recognizes cert from OEMs for 2 phone models: Huawei Honor and a LG phone i think.

So you may buy Honor from any shops, as long you get the Huawei cert : )

I followed this guide to install ics. Is the slide lock not able to be customized? I can't seem to remove the slide to camera...

Just called 1623.M1 shops got no stock but online purchase got stock so ordered online.Must sign contract though.Mine is re-contract.Delivery on Mon night.:)

I have updated to ICS via the guide here and rooted. But when I restore my sgs 3 apparently on to honor using titanium backup I keep getting storage insufficient issues. I check and the internal 2gb space is not utilize at all. Anyone has a solution?

guys wherever you buy from make sure the price quoted is WITH GST.. i kena and report to IRAS, later the shop refund me.. but to avoid all this problem, insist for it.

anyone can teach me how to set the batt icon on the top right to show in percentage on the stock ics? i can't seem to find an option to change...

Huawei honor is allow to be bought into tekong. Call up rrecruit management today at 65600005 and they told me it is allow. Also verified with fren from July intake and was told it is allowd for use
