There are no official images as yet, but we personally seen the unit. But it is quite similar to this:





Heat wise, no issue, it is running on MSI cooler boost 2 which have an enhance heatsink which shares distribute the heat equally between CPU and GPU through a heatsink link between them.

Basically, during gaming, usually the GPU is hotter than the CPU. The heatsink pipe between GPU to CPU will transfer the heat from the GPU to CPU, thus allowing another channel to lower the heat.

But their GE60 and GE70 both have optimus, thus most likely GE40 should have. But let us confirm with MSI first.

Y500 forgo optimus as it needs it to be SLi ready.
