Display port problem with Palit SJS gtx 1070

Just installed the new gfx card, however face some problem with display port connection. No problem with DVI.

On first installation, I'm using DVI and loaded into windows to install nvidia driver. After which, I switched to DP and it's fine.

However on the next day when i switch on, the whole power seems to be cut off. No power to mobo but there's light at the GPU. When I tried to remove the DP cable, it suddenly continued to boot into windows, with my bios setting reset.

Any one face similar issue? DP cable seems to be fine since it's ok if i swap it when i'm in windows. Any suggestion on the settings?

Windows 7

Some ppl report their CPU totally not booting when using the GPU, can boot only when using the onboard graphics, mine just arrived at my doorstep 5mins ago hopefully no issues

Its not a dp problem. Its a palit batch problem. I have face it not only on gamerock premium but also on sjs. On gtx 1080 and 1070. Worldwide people also complaining about this issue.

It will work for the first few hours as though its normal. Next day switch on, black screen...but pc boot to desktop as u can hear the sounds.

It could be win 10 issue or psu. Tried all ways regarding software to no avail. Use ddu remove drivers etc...all cannot.

Some people mention must use a higher than 500 watt psu but not confirm whether is that issue. Really problematic. Ban palit already.

And it will always work right away...give it a day or 2.. then you monitor. Seems that those who was affected is on win 10.

yeah thats what i read also, pray ahhhhh. my old 970 palit no problem, hopefully this 1 also....

Dp only problem? I bought the card first in anticipation of upgrading to a gsync monitor leh. My current monitor dvi only..

Oh wait... I do have a display port... no hdmi :X

Using all 3 of the displayport on GTX 1070 (1 straight dp to dp, 2 dp to hdmi), have not faced any issues yet.
To be specific, the monitor on DVI port boots first with bios splash screen. Upon loading into windows, the screens connected via dp cable will have windows splash screen.
Will report if face any issues ...

i manage to borrow another dp cable, it seems fine leh zzz seems like it may be cable. what brand dp cable r u guys using? any specific 1?
