PC out...to Subwoofer RCA In...Subwoofer RCA Out...to Kurzweil KS-40A Line In (A or B ?)

Correct?

Thanks.

I found a Sonic Gear 2.1 system with an interesting Double-Driver Frontal-Firing Subwoofer.

After removing the satellite speakers, I hooked up the Sub to my Kurzweils.

Result: Not too bad for a setup under SGD$200.

Hmm, I was almost set on getting the Gigaworks T20 for my PC, but this is cheaper. How does it compare?

What's awesome about it? Care to elaborate? Thanks.

they are clean, balanced, quite accurate.

I am an audio engineering student, so for me the number one priority is the accuracy of the sound, most other speakers in this price range just drowns everything with bass, and there is no clarity, with this speakers you can get pretty close to what the actual song is meant to be heard , (depending also on what software you use and what soundcard)

of course if you compare it to the yamaha hs50m (about 400 - 500 SGD) and DyneAudio / Genelec speakers (1000 - 2000+ depending on series) you cant compare but for $95 sgd: Brilliant!

compared to the creative gigaworks T40 which is about twice more expensive than this, this KILLS it , value-wise

i recommend you go to citymusic and have a listen yourself

Yes, minus the bass. You can audition this speaker at city electronic so no worry. T40 can audition at MS creative store

so add a sub to ks40 will pawn t3 and mx6021?

I bought it just recently, I listened to all 3 speakers.
KS40 really sounds awesome compared the the 2 other speakers,
I guess its how clean the sound is when you are listening to it,
and you probably thinking geez $95 for these pair of speakers?
But each has their preference, its best you go down to City Music and try it out.

However, it doesn't seems to work well with my G51 subwoofer.
It reduces the max volume by around 30-50%, and loses alot of its bass.
I wonder if I should just get a Kama AMP to pair with the KS40...
though I can make do with S.Bass maxed.

Bad attitude from the staff? I didn't encounter that when I was asking for it when it was OOS. The guy was literally running in and out to find things for each different customer

one of the guys raised his voice at me and his colleague told him to relax in a jokingly manner.. he gave the reason that there is alot of ppl.. he didn't even apologize and treat it as a joke.. so is this bad attitude?

Heya fellows, anyone tried these Kurzweil KS-40A active monitors? At S$108, they seems to be pretty well priced.... Any opinions?

City Music is selling them:

Question for TS. Appreciate the answers.

1. Are the gold plugs for the left and right channel meant for audio speaker cables? Or are they specific plugs type?
2. Are these plugs on both speakers ?

Think of powering these mid and high tweeters using my existing MX5021 while keeping my sub.
