Managed to lay my hands on the limited edition MSI GTX960 Gaming 100ME (aka the green dragon)

pls note, this card doesnt come with the green dragon. It climbed out of my toy storage box to meet its own kind. Look how happy it seems to be!

The 100ME stands for the 100 million Edition. MSI released this limited card to celebrate their 100th million gpu.

If you are a fan of green, or if you have a green themed PC, you will not want to miss out on this card.

Lets go through the unboxing:

2 cards can work together for you. Be sure to use a beefier PSU if you are intenting to do that.

There are 4 modes for the LED styles. Breathing, Flashing, Double Flashing and Random (I use random so that i can see all the different modes)

Some of you may be already be wondering about the difference between this card and the usual offering, the MSI GTX960 Gaming 2G.

Here are the main differences:
The GTX 960 Gaming 100ME:
costs $10 more at the SRP of 379.
sports a GPU backplate that -
brings the total weight of this card to 860grams vs 812 grams of the MSI GTX960 Gaming 2G
gives the card a total thickness of 48mm vs 36mm of the MSI GTX960 Gaming 2G
Comes with free bundled Farcry4 mouse pad

My thoughts on this card:
Unless you absolutely positively must avoid getting a green card, its definitely worth the $10 difference over the MSI GTX960 Gaming 2G, considering the added backplate which gives support and prevents this card from bending and helps with heat dissipation, and not to mention the Farcry 4 mousepad you are getting.
MSI cards has always come with plenty of OCing headroom for you to play around with.
The MSI Gaming App provides an easy to use and configurable platform for you play around with.

However, being a visual person (thats why we get better GPU dun we.) I would love it if MSI allowed us to change the color of the LED as well.

Why'd you get the GTX 960 when you already possess a GTX 780? :s11:
