For once, I have to agree that the overall design is nice, this time iRiver Japan's R&D designers seems to be on the right track finally. I personally find the Type II models of AK100 and AK120 to have a much better aesthetics factor compared to their recent AK240 flagship. In terms of ergonomics, based on the preview pictures shown on that AV Impress Watch japanese article with the editor's hand holding the device, the grip/handling feel also seems to be very much improved this time as the overall body width is not so fat/lengthy now.

I have to personally confess that i actually dig that leather pouch as shown on the left-handside in the below picture, prolly inspired by Hiroshi Fujiwara's Head Porter's Croc Series label merchandises. Sony used to have something like that designed as the outer-exterior shell for their VAIO P sub-notebook Signature Series as well, but they have never released anything like that in terms for their own bag/pouch case accessories for their VAIO Notebooks or Walkman products before. Very classy indeed.
