I've been using this for like 3mth, so far so good. Just feel that the settings are very limited. Good for those who prefer easy setup & dont meddle with it after that. But not good for those who like to set every parameters to their preference.

I'm the 2nd type of user.

And yes, it is huge, I got a shock when I opened it up. hahaha

I belong to first type.. if everything work well.. I prefer not to twist it too much.. unless I want some unique features...

I'm guessing the remote isn't included in the package? =D Haha...

Jokes aside, yeah the router looks pretty huge, I guess it compensates with its aesthetics, cos its one of the better looking routers I've seen to date, though I prefer the red version.

In terms of wi-fi coverage, I've read that its actually one of the better performing ones in the market, but I still prefer a wired connection for peer-to-peer purposes.

Good review bro, definitely a strong consideration.

Give the AP a static IP address outside of the main router's dhcp range.

Disable the dhcp server under Settings >> Network
Then connect to the main router (LAN port to LAN port). Don't connect anything to the WAN port.

If you main router can do a IP reservation, then you do not need to do a static IP for your AP.

The DIR-868L have this IP reservation function.
