Hello Guys I just went Fuji-Q yesterday and I thought it might be helpful to share some basic information. I did not check out the kids section so I am unable to help in that area.
Transport
I bought the Q-Pack which includes Day Pass and return bus ride from Shinjuku. You can see more information on Fuji-Q official website. Just make a reservation of bus schedule and print that reservation without paying anything first. Then head to the station before boarding the bus and show them the reservation. Tell them you want to get 'Q-Pack', the staff would know and collect 7500yen. The bus takes 2hour to reach even though they say 100minutes on the website. So do work backwards if you want to reach the park before 9am.
Queue
Avoid Weekend and public holiday. They are notorious for the long queues. Roller Coasters queue time will take up to 2hours 40mins. However the fast lane queue has no waiting time literally so make sure you get them!
Fast Pass
They are like the express pass in our universal studio. How it works is that you need to choose the time slot for each ride. The timings are by the hour eg 1100-1200, 1200-1300 so it is a 1-time use during that time slot. You can only purchase it inside the park (There is a booth between the Merry-go-round and Mad Mouse ride). They cost 1000yen each on top of rides. Be sure to go there first upon park opening. Fast pass ticket queue build up to as long as 90minutes if you are late by 15mins which in turn result in sold-out passes. I would recommend buying 1 each for the 5 roller coasters and try spread them out such that at most you do 3 rides in an hour.
Food
There are lots of stands there to get food which has short queue. They are also at reasonable price (350-700yen). Look for vending machine to buy food coupons. The popular MOS burger restaurant may build up queue as long as 30minutes during lunch hour. So you might just want to get some food from the stand and bring it to ride's queue.
Locker
They are strict about wearing watches, accessories and loose items for the thrilling rides. However there are lockers with key just right before you board any rides(Yes you can hold on to the key). Best part is they are absolutely free. So you do not have to worry about safekeeping your stuff before boarding any ride.
Overall I find it a must go if you love thrilling rides. There are ample information on the official website but feel free if you have questions.
