March Tokyo trip for Japan-anime 2014.

Just suddenly got "ling gan", decide to post my earlier jap trip.

I will not go into details where most ppl has already post the same things over & over.
Just some main attractions & those that will not be around much longer.

That said, it still considered my first trip as my earlier Hokkaido trip was when i was a teenager.

Took nite flight ard 10pm. Met friend who came straight fr work!
Manage to get seats at doorway. Very spacious wif good leg room.

Arrive at Narita Airport. Nice but very quiet place. we're sent to a bus stop with strange tickets. Bought it & was transported to Akihabara station.

Our hotel was just accross the street. So went there to check in. Notice lot of vending machine for just abt everything.
In front of our rm is a ice-cream machine. But did not get any.

Temp was cold at 9deg. Wind blowing like crazy outside made it worse!

As we've more or less slept on plane & the tradeshow starts in 2 hours. Unpack some things & head straight to train station for Odaiba route which is venue for Big Sight.

We arrive at venue. Wind was still blowing strong. Almost felt a little like hurricane. It was really cold outside! But happy when saw this.

Bought our tickets when the snaking queue trickled down.

Yeap like a little girl when i went inside. Not sure if the anime we're seeing is new or not. (Nvr been following much anime due to work.)

Saw Sheryl Nome & Ranka. (M.F part 2?)

The planes.... (there's more but i need to search my drive)

La Pi Xiao Xin still quiet popular. Fact is they gonna hv a movie soon.

So is Astroboy..... but no movie.... or is there one? LOL!

Naruto is on going fan fav. There still quite a number of Cos-players on that too here.

Back to the models....!

Garo again, wif the golden.... whatever! Back movie lighting screwed my cam quite badly. This is one of the better shots. Later we went in the studio booth to see a short movie.

This another unknown anime.....

Another model for it. I shld hv better close-up shots of her. But somehow, files got lost in my SD-card.

Garo cut-outs & art works.

Saw this anime over there. The figurines caught my eye. 'Bodacious Pirates' is the name or more commonly known as "Moretsu Pirates". Later discovered that it has been out some 1 & half years already!

The cos-player for Mariko.

By now, a certain crowd of photographers seems to follow me every booth i went. Seems like they following my lead.... or is it my imagination or just a coincedence?

A certain maid C.P posing & handing out posters & some game cards. Her friend came out to let me take some solo shots too{one wif me }before the horde of photographers came gate-crashing in.

Some mascot following my off-balance shot after the same group of photographers knock me off my feet!! (apparently tailing me?)

Gundam car. Quite near gundam booth. Zeon Car ?

This part seriously hard to take shots. By now those guys crash in the sec i took my compact cam out. This only good shot as rest are the gals blinking or rubbing eyes due to too many shots gone off.

Some gal handling out booklet & cards promoting these pick a prize machine. Quite popular there as many arcades with prizes of rare figurines, stuff toys or some other goodies.

I swore one of those photographer behind me carried something of gunlike metal bars on his body like those army guys in Aliens movie.

Quite a crowd there. Anyway, the sensors in my cam is going crazy as show in this slightly darker pic.

There's many ppl dress in cos-play visiting this show too. Like tis swat guy.

Finally.. for some particular reason or two, there quite a few guys dressing in girls school uniforms. I saw a ang-moh in green sailor suit but nvr took the pic. These twins are the more better looking ones!

Another couple of sailor or school uniformed uncles walk pass me. But i dare not look.....

Anyway mid-afternoon, friend got a bit hungry & cranky liao. So head outside where they "chop" our hands with invisible ink so we can come back.

Hit a shop serving HongKong food but dunno why still end up with Ramen.

Came back to another racing anime car.

The artworks

A anime called "fairytales" but i still nvr heard of it before.
At this time i've notice a certain pervert with a mark3D taking pics of chest areas of cos-players only. Alerted my friend & he tail him to other areas & confirm it by looking fr behind all of his shots. It started fr here.

Went ard & and found him by car models & pretend to stand behind him. Somehow his movement was quick & evaded us. Then was nvr seen again!

Anime Toys & Figurines.

Another reason also we're here for.

Moretsu Pirates - Just finish this series only to discovered it started some 2 yrs back!

The SD version of it.

This is the figurine we've been waiting for. Arriving in this end Aug!

The only Boxed figurine @ the time. An ang-moh offered US300 bucks, but was declined politely twice. Guess he too hv to wait till Aug 2014.

One piece, Dr... something ...combiners!

Another unknown anime figurine again. Quite popular wif photographers.

Seven samurai still seems to be popular. Took shots of all seven figures. This is the main female of the series.

This shld be that "kill la kill" anime dat quite a popular in SG too.

Time really flies & before we knew it. It's nite & end of show. The guys formed a line & usher ppl out of the venue in quick fashion.

Notice the whole place i went, NOT A SINGLE RUBBISH IS FOUND ANYWHERE! Geez!

Ok maybe i shld not mess ard wif the editing function of the imgur hosting site, but it too late. Pics turn out smaller than i want. And i'm too lazy to re-edit. But most ppl shld know these places! LOL!

Got off the bridge connecting to the Odaiba railline. It's still bloody cold & strong winds are blowing. Notice tree are still bare.
At the back is a more ex hotel my friend claimed to stayed in his previous trip.

The mall near my hotel. There fan club there which i'm told has a 23 members japanese pop group.
Opposite near a Taxi stand is a family mart. Sometime of a 7-eleven which we often patronise in our 6 days in Tokyo.

Walk ard under the rail bridge leading to the bright neon malls. Never did shop cause a bit late & tired. Went back to crash.

Day 2 of Anime show con't 2molo!

2nd day, woke up ard 11am. Room service knocking on door. Damm! It's late! Quickly got changed & both us head to hv our breakfast at lobby area.

After that took train on same line to Big Sight again. Continue where we left off.
The third stretch of 1st booth. Shiny armour warriors -Saint Seiya. (not a fan so only my friend took shots while i wait.)

The CGI show that is said to be coming out this year!

My friend knows tis show, but i nvr heard of it. T&G

Kancolle (Kantai Collection)! A game released by Kadokawa. The girls are super cute

I am surprised TS is still so interested in those figurines even though TS doesn't seem to know them at all. His dedication is really something. If I were him, I would have only concentrated on those shows that I know something about, and especially if I have watched them before.

It's actually more of "ärt" that these figurines represent to ppl like us. The way it's done & the closeness of the like to the anime or manga.

Like the moretsu pirates one, i was entice to watch the anime although it did not turn out to be good at all. But the figurines looks better than the chars in anime!

That said, if there's something to commend on, it would be on how the forummers here post on lengthy pages of their Japan trips wif pics.

I actually fell ill after 4th day of posting continually & staying up till 4am doing each one. And i'm only on 2nd page....LOL!
