A mini Field report on dimitri 4g mifi service provided
from feb 8 to feb 19
for my trip tokyo sapporo feb 8 to 19, 2014
Overall is quite good speed surfing and whatsppls and facebook and also using apple iphone & ipad very own facetime video and voice and imessage with pictures and messange and google GPS and apple map
GPS – google map and apple map is ok no issue in pin point the locations
Only when I overshot 300 mb or more my speed in upload pic and video is slower but still good enough
Total use of data is nearly 1gb

– Slower but acceptable
Akita reception and speed
- when I transit my cancel flight from haneda to new chitose
- overall speed in akita is quite good
Tokyo reception and speed
- faster even with capped speed

battery life

battery life is quite weak in Sapporo
maybe is due to the subzero temp as low as -9
batterylife in Tokyo is better but stil cant endure one full day of use with temp of -1 lowest to as high as 5deg highest
best advice – have at least a 5000 mah or a 8000 above mah mobile battery charger to last at least one full day of use and standby

Sapporo – no issue locking location
Tokyo – no issue in locking location
appls usage

iphone ipad facetime video is decent speed in chatting in both Sapporo and Tokyo
iphone ipad facetime voice is quite good in both Sapporo and Tokyo
iphone ipad imessage is good no issue at all
whatsppls is no problem at all
LINE appl = sent msg and pic is ok but using it LINE voice call is unacceptable it too lag
Surfing net and facebook and forum overall ok but some area got low reception is slow in accessing it like some low raise building and some metro line

Bottom line is quite good overall as u landed u get internet access liao
As my flght is delay with this mifi is a blessing to stay connected to update ppls and family and kakis too and inform our hotels and check on airlines updates news
