Hi all. Just wanted to share with you guys my recently concluded trip to Japan. Instead of posting the usual photos, i decided to film my trip down and put it into bite size video logs for a more interesting and in-dept perspective.

January 31, 2017 tokyo - Yamagata. Stay Yamagata
February 1, 2017 Stay Yamagata
February 2, 2017 Yamagata to Hakodate. Visit Hakodate. Stay at Hakodate
February 3, 2017 Hakodate to Lake Toya. Stay at Lake Toya
February 4, 2017 Visit Noboribetsu. Stay at Lake Toya
February 5, 2017 Lake Toya to Sapporo. Visit Otaru. Stay at Sapporo
February 6, 2017 Sapporo to Sounkyo. Stay at Sounkyo
February 7, 2017 Visit Asahikawa Zoo. Stay at Sapporo
February 8, 2017 Stay at Sapporo for snow fest
February 9, 2017 Sapporo to Hakodate. Visit Hakodate. Stay at Hakodate
February 10, 2017 Hakodate to tokyo.

Tranportation

1. Cheapo $400/pax red eye Thai airway flight with very tight 50mins transit time for BKK-HND flight.
2. Bought JR Pass as all the other passes just doesnt fit my itineary. Well worth the $ spent due to the numerous Shinkansen we took

Day 1

Stay: Sutton Place Hotel Ueno
Just <200m away from Ueno station. Really a hidden gem with reasonable price and ideal location.

Reserve Shinkansen tickets
Went to Anata no Warehouse in Kawasaki.
RnR in prep for tomorrow early departure

Day 2
Stay: GINZANSO
Free Shuttle from Oishida Station. Superb ryokan with in-room onsen facing the mountain. 10mins away from the main onsen street. Comes with dinner and breakfast. ~$500 all in

Tbh, too many zoom in zoom out and panning scenes.

Lol, i was expecting more comments regarding the itinerary and/or what can be improved..I was using iPhone 7 with mix of handheld and gimal

Hitting back on the road on 1 Feb

Oishida - Yamagata - Zao Onsen Town


Zao monsters are an incredible sight. Beautiful and fearsome at the same time. Showing us the power of mother nature. Wind was really really strong on the peak and together with the cold makes it almost unbearable.

Zao monsters also got night illumination, can provide you incredible sight.

Actually can visit Lake Toya from Hakodate while on the way to Noboribetsu and stay Noboribetsu, no need front and back between Lake Toya and Noboribetsu then go Sapporo.
