U can go to Suwon, about an hour south of Seoul by subway.

There is a very good joseon style village there, very large and authentic looking.
Suwon also has a city wall fortress surrounding it, quite nice to walk about.

I was at gwangjang market on a Sunday at about 10am and the shops are gradually opening for business.

For zipline, I went on a Monday and the waiting time was 2 hours. Finally managed to convince my bf to take it but we didnt wanna wait 2 hours to take the zipline.

Wah seriously?! 2 hours on a Monday?! I will be going Nami and Petite on a Friday. Guess the queue on my date gonna be a super long queue

Anyone stayed in Myeongdong area can kindly advise if we can manage to get breakfast as early as 8 or 9am? Thanks!

The route and the tour bus timings for the 5000 Won tour bus around nami-petite france.

read this blog for more info: http://jayyden84.blogspot.sg/2013/06/seoul-day-5-petite-france.html

based on the estimated times,

route 1
petite france -> cheongpyeong subway station - 25 mins (tour bus)
cheongpyeong subway station -> myeongdong subway station = 1h 34 mins (3 trsf).

route 2
petite france -> gapyeong station - 30mins (tour bus)
gapyeong -> yongsan - 55mins (by itx train)
yongsan -> myeongdong - 16mins

I think it will take at least 2 hrs to return by train from petite france to seoul. I think it will be past 8pm by the time u reach myeongdong and dinner would be priority. You can still do some light shopping in myeongdong if you have energy, if not, return to hotel to rest after the long day.

Hi ahmah! Need your help pls!

Now I see that Cheongpyeong to Yongsan have tix on my day again. Do u this is more doable?

7AM Wake and prepare
8.30 Breakfast
9.45 Reached Yongsan
10.53 Reached Gapyeong and take Cab to Nami Dock
11.00 Reached Nami Dock - Take zipline / ferry
11.30 Nami Island
3.15 Petite France Bus
3.45 Reached Petite France
5.15 Cab frm Petite France to Cheongpyeong Station
5.52 Board ITX
6.43 Back to Yongsan

Im staying in Myeongdong. Is it more recommended that I drop at Yongsan or Cheongnyangni?

Appreciate if someone can comment on this asap. Urgent!!

Both ur prev (plan A) n current plan sounds equally doable and good. The only difference is whether cost of cab fare is a factor for u. Cheongpyeong to petite france takes 25mins and 11700won (according to naver). U paid 5000won per head for the tour bus but u only gonna take it once (only between nami n petite france). Why dont u just scrap the whole tour bus thingy n just share cab all the way. Freedom from bus schedule at some extra cost.

Hi clara03, for those bags, could be found. If you are shopping at dongdaemun, do note that some vendors do not list the price out, hence, you might have to bargain or compare with other stores. Do check if the bags are made in china or made in korea to justify for the price which you would be willing to pay. Imo shopping at dongdaemun could be quite confusing. Could take a look at dongdaemun design plaza (iconic landmark) if you are around the area.

Anyone just came back from Korea recently? How is the weather there now? Is thick jackets needed? I will be there this coming Fri.

Can I ask there a NPH bag MARKET in Dongdaemun? Is the bags there cheap? Im looking for the bags like this in Korea, can these usually be found?
