Dear all,

i am deciding between S5 and G3.
May i ask does the music player has any bass for G3....
last round i got the Optimus G Pro. the bass are disappointing even with very good earphones.. Thanks

Anyone know how to set the laser activate when using the camera? Also how im going to set the camera, just touch the screen and will auto shot?

for the touch and shoot, make sure u press the 3 dot menu to clear all the other options next to it before shooting. if u have the top bar of options, u wont be able to point and shoot.

In the last year, I moved from mega to z ultra to g2 to note 3 to gpro 2 to s5 to z2 to g3. All using Super backup to back up SMS to micro SD card then Restore back from the sd card to the phone using super backup again.

Done this many many times with many many phones kept my sms intact since the beginning of Android.

Thanks for your advise..I suspect it could the app "SMS backup & restore" I used cos when I import to G3 it force me to use the app"sms backup & restore" as default sms before I could restore. I dont have this problem when I restore on the same Note 2.

Electric buzz sound

Does anybody facing the electric buzz sound while playing music? Very soft on the left side but yet still can hear when playing classical music.

That is due to limitation of Android 4.4. Only default sms app can restore. Thats why you need to set SMS Backup & Restore as default before proceeding to restore process.

after rooting and now being on stock, rooting helps battery life insanely. i had 32 hours standby time after rooting and using xposed mod for deep sleep.

now just running stock unrooted and batt life is not impressive, but still impressive compared to my note 3 and htc m8.

Which xposed mod u using for deep sleep?

seriously you think the batt life is comparable to Note 3? when I was using the note 3 previously, I had the impression that it had better batt life than the G3 leh...

some time the phone cant sleep better because of rogue ware...if not the phone should sleep like a baby..

perhaps those who find the battery life lacking can try intelli3g from the playstore. Need to be rooted and on xposed framework. What it does is it swtiches your network to 2g when the phone is off, change to 3g/4g when it is on.

I find this more useful than killing data completely cause i will still get whatsapp etc when 2g is on.

Only irritating issue is that you have to wait a few seconds for the network change

No Buzz on mine. Using poweramp and flac files. Perhaps try different earphones see if this issue persists.

using DS battery saver. i took a screen shot of my batt stats but i cant share it since my phone went into boot loop

anyway, i think LG G3 battery is very good. the 100% lasts so long! maybe its a fresh batt while my note 3 was 7 months old. charge in office, leave at 6pm, come home at 10pm, left with 60%. barely even touch can drop so much i think it's to do with all the samsung bloatware, plus the telco bloat too.

anyway to be fair, that was when i didnt root.

after i rooted it, the batt was very solid. over night drop less too. but this LG batt is like a brick. but let me use it more first

but if you asked me about batt life performance, it will be in this order: HTC M8 -> Note 3 -> LG G3

something else to ask, anyone using another launcher with different icons? some of the phone app icons are green androids that i am unable to change. anyone have a way to fix?

Need some advise here.

I have backup 22k sms from my Samsung Note 2 to my new LG G3. Importing the sms into the LG G3 takes almost half a day. The messaging software seems to alway hang after I send a sms. I have to reboot to able to view all the sms message again. I tried deleting half of the sms but still have the same problem. Dont have this problem after I install and use sms pro as my default. Anyone having the same problem and any solution? Else I just have to stick to sms pro. Thanks.

Booting back is no problem at all for my case but I am puzzled with the auto shut down thingy.
Seemed to be only effecting our model, D855, as per XDA:
LG G3 D855 shutsdown on its own - xda-developers

As this effects reliability, I am hoping to solve this issue ASAP

Any bros & sis out there encounter this and have any solution?

Have you tried factory reset and update yet?

Ok wil try super backup first...the restoring takes a long time and drain the battery very fast sia.
