My fiancée and I are planning to go msia for a short trip to rest and relax but dont know where can we go, able to suggest some places to go? We are mainly looking to sightseeing or farm visiting and a 1 night stay. Will be self driving in. Budget capping within $100-250

You can consider kuala sepetang (formerly known as port weld) and taiping. another 2 hours drive, you can see paddy field in norprthern seberang perai to kedah state.

The total cost is definitely below your budget.

If you want to consider Penang island, you may consider a homestay in Teluk Bahang. Some homestays provide village types of ativities from malay home cooking to batik painting. I can help to arrange with the owner if you want to stay there.

thanks for the suggestion bro, will do a check on the price for staying. other than beach, may i know what else is there to visit o_O

As mentioned, ostrich farm, fruit farm. Also if you have more time, the waterfall at Kota Tinggi is viable for a swim, if you take the old route. If you drive, visit also Sungei Rengit for your seafood fix.

Hi bro since you are self driving you can consider going to U.K Farm in Johor and can stay there....

For me personally i like to rest and relax, i will choose to drive and stay in KSL hotel or 11th Century Hotel cos KSL is across the road. There are alot of makan shops around so food no problem. I will go in really early to eat dim sum then go walk walk then can go for a relaxing massage nearby (clean one) as you wait to check in, then once get room can rest abit, the cross the road to KSL for movie, karaoke, medicure, pedicure and some shopping or just eating... can visit legoland the next morning... see what you want to do...

another alternative, my favourite- malacca

Century hotel stayed before standard, superior, deluxe room.
Standard Room 16m2
Superior Room 22m2
Deluxe room (one double bed one single bed) 26m2

No hair dryer, no refridgerator. So far so good.
Wifi stronger in deluxe room not sure why
Corridor no air con ...
Think price is around 56 - 70 for standard and superior and deluxe room :)
