Hi, would like to know if anyone knows how to set up bridging mode for the above mentioned router. It is a new router offered by SingTel in place of the 2Wire 5012NV.

-cannot detect mio tv (iptv will show red light on rg) even if u on the mio tv
-cannot surf internet using wireless ( only can use 1 day then next day cannot use)
-use wired direct to rg port 1 to 4 all cannot .. cannot surf internet.
-on 24hrs sure this rg give problem. Internet will intermittent on/off on/off
how frustated you will get when you was watching mio tv or surf internet..

My neighbour use this new RG; PACE A5520N

1a) Hear support from tech. install.. says 4 ports is 1000Mbps
1b) But Singtel 1688, says Port1=1000Mbps and port2,3,4=up to 200Mbps,

2) Wifi support "n"; Good Wifi speed? Need change to Asus RT-N56U/66U ?
Wireless State:Enabled/...
Set SSID (Name of Wireless Network) ... Security WPA/WPA2 ...password ...
2a1) Notebook detect 144Mbps (thru Wifi), tested on speedtest ...up to 70Mbps
2a2) Notebook (thru wired LAN, port1,2) 1000Mbps, speedtest 88~107Mbps
2b) No problem on iphone 4s [surf/streaming] connected via Wifi, 20~25Mbps
2c) No problem on Andriod device(Tab 7.7") connected via Wifi, 20~36Mbps

Fibre: ONT ---> RG; PACE A5520N (port1,2,3 ...) --->MIO TV (port 4)
Note the LED light (Green/Red) on this RG
Power LED light (Green)
Ethernet LED light (Green -Flashing) when Wired Lan is connected
Wireless LED light (Green -Flashing) when Wifi is connected
WPS LED light (OFF) default setting under wireless
Voice1 LED light (Green) default setting for digital voice number is active
Voice2 LED light (OFF)
IPTV LED light (Green -sometime will flash)
Broadbrand LED light (Green)
Internet LED light (Red) ... unknown shall be green

No problem in surfing/streaming video +viewing HD chs via MIO TV (HDMI+ RCA L,R; Component video-3wires).
Why lousy? what problems?
Thanks.

I'm actually calling 1688 to come and install this for me within the next week, can any other bros out there using this new pace modem advice if i should hold off?
Because there seems to be mixed reviews here and there.

For me, the Wifi signal strength of this Pace A5520N is lower than my previous 2Wire 2701HGV (white Mio box) from Singtel. :( But it's been on 24/7 for a week plus and I have not experienced any disconnection from the Internet side yet. Will probably replace it with an Asus N56U later.

Yes, I've been looking for a way to bridge this new router as well. The IU is different from the 5012nv which I had but was changed by Singtel when I shifted to a new place, and the router broke.

Anybody has the user guide for pace 5520N?

Installed one week ago and was good for internet and IPTV.
But this week, every 20min the IPTV LED will be red and "TV signal lost, pls call 1688"

Call ST for 4 times and finally agree to send technician but have to wait till next week.
So I ask the girl on 1688, "so meantime from now till next week what i do with my MIO?"

But discover that if I reseat the ethernet cable between the pace and set top box, a minute later MIOTV is back.
I have change the cable, the ports but still the same.

So what exactly does it mean when IPTV led is red?
Signal lost from ONT, or lost connection to set top box?
If I turn off set top box, the IPTV led is red.....

My IPTV is red only when I power off the STB. The installer said its normal. Never encountered IPTV LED red when STB is switched on.

Vertically, the ports arranged as following:-

1)DSL (black)
2)USB
3)LAN1 (yellow)
4)LAN2 (yellow)
5)LAN3 (yellow)
6)LAN4 (yellow)
7)BROADBAND (gery)
8)VOICE

Which one to connect for my LAN cable?

If you really desperate.. buzz me and I drop over..see yr issue and resolve it.. just pay my petrol and kopi ...
5520 may have bad firmware.

Currently I also using this modem with mioTV and mioVoice. The wifi coverage is really poor. I thinking of replacing it with ASUS RT-N56U. Will the configuration below works?

ONT -> Asus -> Port 1 -> Internet
-> Port 2 -> Internet
-> Port 3 -> Pace -> MioVoice
-> Port 4 -> MioTV

Thanks
