Noticed that the TP got 2 interface, one is fiber and one is RJ45 port. May i know what is the RJ45 port for?

Thanks.

Maybe u're right it looks like rj45 port. Btw for new bto house, there will be one small utility box behind the main door. Was told that they prepared the nylon rope so that they can pull over the fiber on that utility box during opennet installation. And inside that utility box, there is a data port that patched to another port on the tv console.

My question:

1) will the TP be at the utility box?

2) How can i utilise the data port inside the utility box to avoid ugly trunkings?

Got picture of it? Should be for circuit breaker instead?

The space must be able to fit the TP and the ONT for it to be practical. The size of the TP is like the old scv box except it is way slimmer.

Looks like done by your own contractor instead?
Possible to install the TP, but dunno how are you gonna slot the ONT in.

can u open the cover between the power points n the LAN port?
btw, all new hdb flats have this utility box, i have seen in those new punggol hdb units

the cover in between originally was scv point. my electrician rerouted it to another place..

it is possible to place the ONT inside the utility box? but no power point inside..

Utility box is in living room. Double power point I presume it is the living room also. Anyone know those lan cable 1-5 & that 1-2 lan cables, how are they linked?

rj45 1-2 comes from TAS outside ur flat. rj45 1-5 going to sockets in ur hse.

If u want to link all the sockets (1-5) ,i would take them out and recrimp with rj45 connectors and plug in all to my modem lan ports. and all e sockets activated. (for those w/o home tel line) and also provided the modem can placed in the utility box . i've saw a couple of patch panels at compassvale areas and done the set up for them. just my 2cts. ;)
