Bro,

They heard us... Just that this week they were so busy with renovation and moving of their office to Northstar. Understand that their DEMO unit will be 24x7 from now onwards.

They have highlighted the reported issue back to the manufacturer, seems that the other brand they are carry, audio also have some issue with loud ringing after a while when MIC and SPEAKERS are turned on the camera itself. Camera design problem? Perhaps... LOLz...

Just have to wait bah... Think they will update us soon.

Great.

I must commend them for good service.
I got a VStarcam lately. The unit reset itself intermittently. After a few emails, marix asked me to bring it down for 1-to-1 exchange. Cool.

Hope your replacement unit is working fine! Cheers! ;)

Boundary wise, not many brand, I know EasyN can, but unfortunately
interface sucks big time. VStarcam H6837WI is not bad selection if you
need recording upon motion detection. It will also mail you a picture as
well.

Foscam FI8918W can also do motion detection and sending you email,
but it will not record.

Think VStarcam got model which is fully plug-and-play i.e. H6837WIP. No need DDNS, not need port forwarding. How true ?

A sneak preview photo of the 3rd Generation cameras have been posted on our blog. Our engineers will be testing the new series in our test lab before releasing a full review of the products. Shape of H6837WIP is same as current best selling H6837WI. H6891WP shares same design casing as Aztech's.

We can only say that the Plug and Play does allow you to view the camera over your smart phones as soon as you gets it plugged into the router. We'll be testing the camera also in one of the most controlled campus environment soon to see if it works up to its name!

Streaming wise, here's a sneak preview of the streaming performance from H6891WP for you guys to compare.

vstarcam :: H6891WP Streaming video by marixspl - Photobucket

The black iphone is running on 3G connection, while the white iphone is running on wireless LAN (ADSL) connection. The camera is on a separate Fibre broadband network. The camera is placed to playback a slingplayer over the internet on our Samsung Galaxy SII.

Hope to hear some feedback from you guys on what you think.

:D

Anyone using Trendnet TV-IP422WN & Singtel, 2wire 2701HGV-E Modem?
Is there any connection issue with this combination?

Remote viewing work only for the day after configuring port forwarding and DDNS setup with Dyn.com. After that can't even access the camera remotely.

Troubleshoot from inside first. Check your IP if same as port forwarding...

If you need it now, H6837WI will do the job. But NAS wise, some people here actually complained of slow video feed recording over wireless. So, its good to depend on MicroSD card recording n managed expectation on NAS recording.

Thanks for the recommends.. I plan to record to NAS on a long run basis. Cos micro SD can be removed then abit redundant. and i have to remove the sd card when its full right?

How is this H6837WI? is it lasting?

I'm saw the prolink PIC1003WP. looks good but don't have night vision.

I personally goes for VStarcam. Personal preference.

why so? i was looking at the demo and the live video feed seems to be abit slow and also during the pan and tilt for both the aztech one at the vstarcam. that's why i don't know which is a better alternative. wouldn't want to pay $200+ and get something that is not worth the price.

If you are viewing the demo via the Internet, a lot of factors could influence the video feed, and they have nothing to do with the camera.
