Happy to hear of your good buying experience and your willingness to wait a little longer because of good discount given.

Anyway, the item in the wrong colour has yet to arrive.

Let us hope that we worried for nothing and that Red Apple will deliver high quality furniture to us in due course.

I'm glad your pre-sales went fine. We shall see if your items get delivered.

I didn't ask for a ridiculous discount. In fact, I was "offerred" a package when I stepped in. A dining table, 4 chairs, L sofa and coffee table. All for approx $3.2k. Then the sales person added a GST after we agreed to the price. BTW, this is a sales gimmick. If you have ever visited my retail store www.whymobile.com, you will know that I am very familiar with these sales tricks especially in my trade. If you want more info, read the Mission Statement under "About Us".

Anyway, after giving them a weird face (I almost wanted to walk out), they said they will waive the delivery charge. IMHO, $3.2k is not a ridiculous price. You get about that kind of prices for china made furniture everywhere. ($1.4k sofa, $800 dining table, $400 for 4 chairs, $400 for coffee table, with some spare change for delivery.) I credit them for better design but certainly if you were to compare Ikea's prices, product quality and after-sales service, they're no where near.

I never had a hiccup with Ikea's logistics, their products are of great quality (other than the small items like kitchen ware, etc.) and I never really had an Ikea thing fail on me like many others said they would. I have an 10+ year old Ikea study table bought since I was in Secondary school and it's still straight and solid. I'm happy to have spent over $2k on Ikea furnitures with no hiccups at all and after all these fiasco, I declare myself an Ikea supporter.

Rule of the thumb, buy the higher range of Ikea. Don't expect your $39 table to last a lifetime, duh.

Anywya, they called today and said that the delivery will be changed from morning to afternoon. Let's see if they keep their schedule.

The first delivery was completed and the item with the wrong colour was replaced.

The items came as ordered except that the finishing and quality is not exactly what one could describe as showroom quality. Well, we did not return any of the items for rework for obvious reasons.

Now, we will await for the second delivery.

i never ask for discount but my sofa set (3+2) also have the wrong fabrics ordered for the cushions. :s22:

then while the sa said that its of good quality etc n can last long, mine began to tear after 2yrs+ of usage..... tear and breakdown until its impossible to sit on it or to put a new cover on it (its still giong to keep on tearing n have those black fibres etc drop onto the floor). and memory foam or whatever sink abt the same time too. Throw that away n recently bring the 2 seater to living room n the material also breaks down when no one is sitting there but just putting some light items on it :s22:

Quality is really bad for the PU leather (hope didnt get it wrong). their items might look nice but i dont think the quality is good.

and i also heard abt hk HQ or something. i really wonder if its China or HK doing the work.

Having agreed to sell at the agreed price, the shop should delivery what they promised. That is at the specifications (design, material quality, build quality etc) on the schedule agreed. If not don't sell. Otherwise it's a breach of contract.

Hi all forumers, I regret that i came late to find out of the review here about red apple furniture. I was a victim by their lousy service! This sale man name desmond. Bought from him a queen size frame, supersingle bed with pullout, and a single bed and a sofa.

When the goods deliverered, the queen size head board is not the one we want, the supersingle bed without a pullout, claiming no stock, will be delayed, the single bed comes with mattress without frame. The sofa will be delivered in 2mths time!! Pls don't patronize their showroom. These salemen are empty words, all after closing the deals. Their furnitures are all sub con to different company. When they deliver the goods to you are all in batches. The worse thing is the goods all deliver not what has being paid for. Beware, forumer here.:(:(

Some furniture store provides bad service; therefore choose the best and cheapest furniture shop that provides great quality furniture.

I had a bad experience at Red Apple, too. I got scammed by them into buying a mattress and bedframe for 2k which they promised is made of solid wood but when they sent is made of ply wood. I have very bad back ache from using the mattress and bedframe and i have to sleep with my mattress on the floor because the boards warp from my body weight. I am only 50 kg btw so it's their goods lousy. We asked for a replacement and The store manager called but he was rude and raised his voice over the phone to me and my husband. They told me to go to CASE because they will not change the product for me. I checked other forums like singapore brides and it seems that alot of people have bad experience at this shop. everyone should stay away :( wish I had checked the forums before buying.

Never buy from Red Apple

Never buy from Red Apple Pte Ltd again. They have excellent pre-sale. The sale agent tongue is super good. They claim that they will call us before 16-21 Jan (the delivery date). I wait and wait and still no call. I have to make a call on 17 Jan to check. They replied that they are unsure. Then they get back to me on 19 Jan to claim that they can deliver on 20 Jan. However, I didnt see any deliveryman arrive. I decided to call them. And they gave me a reply that their one and only truck broke down at tampinese. They could only arrange the delivery 3 days later, because their contractor need to get the truck to repair.
They sub-con out most of their services, and they seem to have 0 control over their supplier or contractor.
