quotoed from : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/244027/+140

"I dont think using 13A will influence its sound..
Cuz it is fuse ampere (A)..I checked gigaworks power input is 3.15A, so for safety, put 5A cable.. Means if suddenly power input over 5A, the fuse will be cut off to protect the speaker.. correct me if wrong "

At the back of the subwoofer there is a triangular sign (below the power input) stating 3.15AL 250V.

The power plug is rated 250V 13A. Seems like the normal type to me.

Marking on the plug - EL 210, SS145/A, BS-1363/A.

Hope that helps.

Try to get the same rating or close too. it is purpose for the amp at 3.15A, others wise, creative will put 13A. you may have to ty ST (Simlim Tower) those parts shop, i/s of SLS (sell la, sell sssss = $$$$$). :s22:

But, doesen't mean replace this fuse will help, if it help, you are very lucky. Guess some others part may B........ Hope not. sorry for that, have to tell the truth leh!!.

Is all depend of Creative, may be they ask for 400 - 500, or may be the sweap your's with repaired stock, to provide the same set repairing, may take weeks if you lucky, or may take month or months, it all depend depend.....

May be you can try those poly student who have good electronic engrg knowledge, especially thos know about amp, I mean amplifier, this sub have a high power amp in side, very high voltage, becareful, it hurt. don t any how touch, the capacitor can store very high voltage, +160vdc and - 160vdc, total 320V.

what you think, want to repair your self or guai guai go back to creative.
hope info assist.

Give them a ring, they will tell you to send back for access and checking, than they will give you a price for repair.

Who know only couple of red notes, it worth and safer for you.

Sorry, I am not working for Mr. Sim. I want he don't want.
