Hi guys,

Now that we have broken the ALL-IN-ONE box "solution" provided by ISPs for bundled services and allowed unrestricted use of 3rd party routers, the focus now shifts to the Voice Gateway. There is no apparent advantage swapping out that device since most of us paid /are paying for it but just for open information's sake let's discuss if this can be done. OR is there? i am constantly gettings service down and have to reset the 2WIRE to get voice services back up!

I am thinking in the same way for Internet functionality, VLAN ID can be stripped from incoming packets and then tagged for outgoing packets, can this be done so that 3rd party Voice gateways can work once set up with the right VOIP settings?

Thank you in advance

I am using a SIP DECT cordless phone set - Siemens Gigaset C610A IP

Currently, I connect it internally to my LAN's router since I use it for other SIP providers too.

The Gigaset also allows setting of VLAN, so in case you want to use it directly on a smart switch, it can work too.

Ooo, so you use it over the full access internet. But how about the dedicated SingTel or M1 Voice? do you know the settings for it?

Changing out the supplied voice router/gateway will be much challenging as ISP/RSP will test the router's POTS function with its soft switch or SIP server

So anyway i just thought i'd post the information i managed to get out of the voice gateway by packet capture and decode.

for M1 it appears :

Username: +65(your number)@ims.mobileone.net.sg
SIP proxy: ims.mobileone.net.sg / 202.79.92.202
realm: ims.mobileone.net.sg
Network port: 5060

Register expire cannot be 300 or less, will get rejected by server. Huawei tries 1800 after getting the first rejected response

Password I am clueless, if anyone has any rough idea, like how many digits we can brute force the password

Have you figured out the codec yet?
There are codec parameters they can change which not all SIP devices can handle.

user1234 does not seem to be the password.

Yea i tried my number already but maybe i didn't use the cracker properly, using Cain and Abel. Not sure if supposed to type the password backwords or forwards because it seems to increment its search from the most significant digit.
e.g. it goes to 10000 from 00000 instead of 00001.

session returned ITU G.711A , at least when I called a cellphone.

As per what liangtam has mentioned - do come back to us whether there is any block after some time.

Placement is behind the router I presume?

I'm using a SPA3102. Not too sure, PAP2T has support for VLAN and whether it helps. Will post some screen shots.

Probably will need a little help in experimenting.
