Hi guys. I have just recently noticed that black spots have been appearing on my photos, 3 to be exact. Although not large by any means, they are certainly annoying and quite obvious. It seems that it is in my lens (?) as I do not see them appear unless I go to the Camera app. Strange, since I never went to any dusty place...

Do you know what I can do? Will it cost me if I sent it back to Sony for the necessary fixes/cleaning etc? It's still less than a month old...

I would appreciate your help! :)

if it is the LCD issues it should be covered under warranty. & days 1-1 exchange with Telco or shop.

Not sure if LCD or not, cos the spots only appear when I turn on the camera app. Is it possible that dust somehow got in? :s11:

I think it could be some dust in the camera area. You try hitting with your palm on either side and see if the dust disappear.

I encountered the same issue with u. My remedy was as follows, I tapped the lens area with my fingers for a good 10 minutes and that got the dust off the lens. Qas a trial and error process. I too was surprize that a dust proof phone would have dust trapped at the lens area.

I just tried it, but it didn't work! The particles are still in the same place.

Now I have the same problem too. 16 black dots. Try the lense solution but the dots are still there. Sent to the Service centre yet?

Caps lock will not help you, and is considered rude. Also, there's no point asking your Xperia Z, it will not answer back.

You got to send it in. It is the issue with the sensor if I am not wrong. Don't try washing it, if you wash it it will remain there. And why will there be water vapor inside the camera? Did you close the flap? Did your rubber sealing it broke/became loose?
