US and JP move in opposite now.
USD up, JPY down and their export go up and profit and Nikkei.

How to long this index? Via etf?

Just placed a City Index order in my demo account.

I start to wonder whether the Limit @ 17000 is a profit taker or what. :s11:

traditionally correct, but we are a little different now. when S&P correct to 1800s levels, Nikkei tumbled too. Futures now at 16,730.

nikkei tend to move more violently than any other index. a more than 2% drop in the US indices might see a more than 3% drop in the nikkei on monday.

nikkei stays below 16,800. support turned resistance. break to downside incoming. 16,400 then 16,200, 15,900 next 3 stops if 16,600 is broken.

You only focus on Nikkei index?

no. i rotate, depending on which one i deem to have the most potential.

however, i have been wrong on Nikkei the last few days. Nikkei has always been more volatile than any other indices. however, when US indicies came off by more than 2% and 1%, Nikkei moved, but in a lesser magnitude. kinda disappointed.

having said that, i am wondering what is keeping Nikkei....so "stable". nothing but bad news. BOJ has actually signalled that it could be running out of ammo (as per other CBs).

i am guessing that perhaps it could be rate hike = stronger USD = weaker yen = better for Nikkei.

however, in times of real fear/uncertainty/chaos, yen is a safe haven currency, so it might strengthen as well.

not sure what is brewing, but Nikkei is worth a short. literally.
