Any pro advice on NOL (Neptune Orient Line) shares?

I would like to seek some advice from forum members here pertaining to NOL (Neptune Orient Line) shares.

For the past weeks, there have been speculation that this company is venturing into Merger and Acquisition.

It's price ran for a period before it started to tumbled heavily and I got myself stuck in this counter.

Any pros here got any advice on some news or updates?

Depending on how much you are down on, it might be good to cut loss. If it breaks the small resistance at $1 its free fall till 75cents.

Personally I would stay away from this stock, their company not doing well considering them having to resort to selling their whole building and their vessels are very dated compared to other shipping lines.

I wanted to share my thoughts.

From my observation, I recently bought this stock at $1.09.
The stock has then suffered a profit taking perhaps due to lack of market demand which caused the price to decreased. Fortunately, it has rebounded slighlty since last week.

The majority investors out there is still expecting a M&A to materialise. My opinion is that it not going to happen.

Yes, this stock is suitable for persons who would like to make immediate returns.

The most important factor is buy and sell at the RIGHT TIMING.

shipping rates are now very low...
cyclical industry
competitive business with more supply than demand
very low to negative profit margins
higher earning... over 100% gearing level if I am not wrong
rising interest rates will hurt their bottom line even more
little to no dividends

some industries are just tough to make $$, i prefer betting on low hanging fruits... industries such as banking or telcos... solid oligopolies

i think u mean $1 support.

From a technical point of view:
The $1 support is a critical multi-year support. Once it breaks, we might see it breakdown further all the way to 70cents. As of today it is still hovering above support. It has to break the immediate resistance at 1.07/1.08 for it to rise higher. Inconclusive at the moment

I realised that there is a lot of fundamental and technical opinion provided by various netizens. I am not too sure not those either. I bought from friends tips as this stock was one of the hottest stock in play during that period.

This Kran Canal is still fizzy, dont know whether it will be funded by garmen or private there. If it happens i think its really bad news for NOL. Either they have to shift everything there, or stay in the straits and prepare for further cuts in their earnings. My view.
