Dear all, my Boustead FY 2011 AGM highlights has just been posted up on my blog. Please feel free to visit and leave comments, thanks! :)

A snippet as follows:-

"It is Boustead’s aim to grow their Design and Build portfolio as well, even though these contracts are sporadic and “lumpy”, in addition to focusing on their DB&L projects. It used to be the case where Boustead could sell at least one industrial leasehold property every financial year, but the problem with this strategy was that even though it brought in a lot of excess cash, it also meant that the Group would have to deduct one recurring income source. Boustead’s business model has to shift to one where the recurring income and cash flows from maintaining such a portfolio outstrip the benefits of selling the properties to clients for lump sum cash inflows. To do so, I reckon that Boustead’s other divisions have to ensure that they are all cash-flow positive and that the cash inflows more than cover the outflows to be made for progress payments to be made to contractors during construction of these leasehold properties."

Is that a bad sign? retired director disposing his shares.

Depends. Maybe since he is retired he doesn't want to keep himself updated with the business anymore, so better to sell off and cash out now. Or maybe not..

There is a saying that goes like this 'Plenty of reasons to sell; but only one to buy'

Translation: Ignore insider selling but look at insider buying as a good, positive indicator.

If you ask me, I called the above 'selective amnesia' or 'justifiably transactions' because it never makes sense to me why you should disregard insider selling.

Personally if you ask me, I dun pay too much attention to insider buying and selling. I think most of the times, the decision to buy or sell is independent of the prospects and the fundamentals of the company. And hence should not be used as a gauge or a decision to buy or sell.

But that's just me. :)

Wonder if I should keep my boustead until $1.8 or let go again.
Last time I sold at around $1.81, then buy back at $1.63...

It's really only dropped 10cent... the other 20 cent dropped due to the de-merger, which actually make up for the drop and more after my calculation.

All in all, Boustead is benefitting shareholder from the demerger.
