Anyone having views about this stock? Have been doing well throughout the years. Recent student accommodation in uk after success in Aussie.

Any potential upside?

In my watchlist. With recurring income from worker's dormitory and student accommodation, it does have potential..:o

To me the stock was only trading around 0.2 2 to 3 years back took a quick glance at their fa. Operating margin and profit margin are both not bad.

Centurion was manufacturing CDs and DVDs and it has since moved away from this demised industry.
Centurion has expanded into the workers dormitory and student accommodation business, and its stock price has increased 3-4x since. I believe the student accommodation business in Australia and UK is strong, given the large and growing number of students going there to study. The main risk is the quality and yield of their accommodation properties.

I think Centurion's current PER is around 20x, and has already priced in the growth story. It'll now depend on the actual financial performance to propel the stock price.

does the stock price justify this recurring income? :s11:

You can make your own decision base on what spinfire wrote. I share the same thoughts with him. At PER of 20x, it is a tad on the high side but considering the growth from students and workers who are needed in the construction sector, I don't think the growth would taper soon.

As far as workers are concerned, the only worry thing is the govt reducing foreigners influx due to pressure from the electorate. Still, companies pay rent for workers' dormitory. Unless there are no construction going on, which is impossible considering that everywhere I went in Singapore, I always see construction here and there. Centurion is an interesting company. The best is they have moved away from their manufacturing business.

0.72/(AVG_EPS(FY2013, FY2012, FY2011, FY2010, FY2009)) = 29.X

Yeah.

Do note that last year EPS was boosted by gains in ppty value, thus the PER will be low. But if you strip it out, the PER will be around 29x as calculated by Some-one.
Just look around for analyst reports, they'll do all the math for you.

I hate to say this, but FA not good is a load of bull. I suggest you relook into their business before you post again. Shows how much you really know.

I have held this counter since 2012, when I came across this company on a blog. Have reaped almost 3x my initial investment in capital gains and dividends. Goes to show how good their business is.

I did a brief analysis of centurion before. If I remember correctly, their employee salaries doubled at their last annual report. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I did drop a query to their website with no response.

(above issue keeping me from being vested)

U were lucky to have ridden the wave when they changed biz model and w investment bankers pumping up the share prices. I think it would be gd tt u lock in some profits now. Price now is unsustainable, u shld know if u r a seasoned investor.

Just my 2 cents worth ;)
