buy when all reits are high and before the maiden result = speculation. If want to speculate, there are many good choices out there. Investing in reit is a safe investment to me, but buying without knowing the history performance of the reit make it not safe already. If it is a good choice, I would rather wait after the result then buy, even at higher price, simply because it is a good choice.

For iOCBC users: 1 lot 1 lot buy down because if it's within the day, the whole will be amalgamated (ie. combined) into a single contract. Thus you only pay the com fee of whatever you bought instead of buy everything at once at a higher share price.

OCBC actually quite pricey if u wanna compare to vickers cause of the min comm charge.

But now OCBC has an offer of 8% off the comm from now till 31 dec.
For those who use OCBC before 23 Aug 2012 we can get 2 trades at 50% comm up to $50 from now till 31 dec. so technically speaking it's abit cheaper than vickers when there's promos.

but i still think for small sums should use SCB [don't have a SCB account].

the almagation applies to most brokers AFAIK.

but you cant buy 1 lot by 1 lot spread on different days or month. the minimum commission will kill you.

with SCB no minimum commission, you can spread your purchases.
