Hi, sorry i am quite new to stocks. Yield low means dividends no good?
can explain further?

Fragrance was once my favourite counter..give so many rounds of 1 to 1 bonus almost every year..too many scrips..it has shares more than Capitalland and Keppel Corp combined..so how to move up..only its billionaire director is buying to support his shares..if u one u shd buy Hotel Grand Central..once its 2 new hotels are up infront of Istana at Orchard eeasily >$1.50...5% dividend every year and at AGM the directors will continue to honour such dividends..besides can opt for share scripts instead of cash dividends..park my cpf money there from 50,000 shares, over the years it has grown to >80,000 shares as I did not want the cash dividends but opt for share scripts:s12:

Hi, I understand that HoGCen dividend yield is about 4+% pa.
May I know what makes you prefer this instead of a hotel reit eg Ascott Reit which has a dividend yield of about 6 % pa?

Is it because you forsee that HOGCen stock price will increase?
TIA.

HOGCen is family owned and tightly controlled unlikley to drop much..i hold this counter in my cpf..better tan earn 2.5% ..yes the yield is about 4.7% eg at today price (50/1060)x100%=4.7% exclude brokerages and when completion of 2 brand new hotels(replaced the torn down one opposite Isatna),I believe the share price will head higher..Chairman has cfirmed that 5% dividend will continue to be upheld this financial year 31/12/2013:s12::s12:

If we are talking about movement in the share price of this counter, I do not monitor much. But if we are talking about fragrance in real life, their property development is going to rake them more big money.

They are aggressive in land bidding, aggressive in marketing, and not to forget they may soon become one of the bigger boys in the industry.

Fragrance Group's Q3 profit up 35% y-o-y

REAL estate company Fragrance Group reported a 35 per cent year-on-year jump in its net profit for its fiscal third quarter.
Net profit attributable to shareholders climbed to S$4.2 million for the quarter ended Sept 30 from S$3.1 million the year before.
Turnover was up 70 per cent to $56 million in Q3 FY17, from $33 million in Q3 FY16. Fragrance Group said that this was thanks mainly to the contribution from its property development and hotel segments.
Its property development segment saw substantial revenue contribution from its City Gate project, a mixed development at Beach Road, for which construction had begun in the second quarter of 2016. The group's hotels - ibis Styles Hobart in Australia, and hotels in United Kingdom such as the Lyndene Hotel, The Townhouse Hotel, The Crown Hotel and The Imperial Hotel - added to the group's turnover in the quarter just ended.
Fragrance Group's earnings per share were 0.06 Singapore cent, up from 0.05 Singapore cent the year before.
The group was positive in its outlook, saying that it had remained resilient to the challenges in the Singapore market in recent years and has sold almost all of its residential properties in the country. "With the timely diversification of operations into Australia and the UK, the group has laid a good foundation for sustainable growth in future years," it said.
