Some details from my broker.

Tentative Issue Statistics
Listing Status: Catalist
Issue Size: 53,800,000 new shares, Comprising;
- 51,300,000 placement
- 500,000 reserve
- 2,000,000 ATM
Issue Price: S$0.30
Enlarged Share Cap: 353,800,000
PER FY12: 18.2x (fully diluted)
Market Cap: S$106.14m

Public tranche (ATM) only 2000 lots!

MoneyMax has similar a business model as Maxi-Cash, with pawnbroking and jewelry retailing. Profit growth from FY2010-2012 looks great too. Looks like it's a local company looking to raise funds through IPO to expand it's business.

At IPO price of 30c, the fully diluted P/E is 18.2x. In comparison, Maxi-Cash is currently trading at 40x P/E. So far, looks like a good buy to me, unless there're hidden details.

Hi, what does it mean by public tranche 2000lots? means only 2000 lots available, and the issue price will be ~30 cts (as what STAGGG mentioned)? Wouldnt it b very little?

These companies will do well as long as people are extending credit to fund their lifestyle.

actually, really dont understand why people would wanna borrow or pawn to extend their lifestyle... they have to pay it back with high interests in the future! :s22:

cos if they can't borrow from the regular banks... and not wanting to turn towards illegal moneylenders. this is one avenue to sustain their lifestyle.

never a better time to be in this biz, as long as people are continuing with current trajectory.

Some info
Both MoneyMax and MaxiCash has each 20 over outlets scattered all over Singapore.
MaxiCash market cap is 200Million, MoneyMax is half of theirs.

MaxiCash is under same umbrella under the Koh Family of Aspial Corporation, Fragrance Hotel Group.
MoneyMax is under Soo Kee Jewellery's wing.
However barring all market sentiments etc, this IPO should do well. But investors have to take note on 2 issues.
MaxiCash is currently at 40+cts. During initial IPO, rose and then did fall below IPO price and take this as a guage on how far MoneyMax can perform.

Though however take note that though MaxiCash is just a subsidiary under Fragrance but Mr James Koh Wee Meng is a very astute businessman in property development and hotel business, wouldn't go wrong with this vision.

Sorry guys... I'm noob here. This IPO is listed on Catalist, not SGX. If apply via ATM. Anything to take note? Are the Catalist shares kept in the same CDP account too?
