Easy to say, difficult to execute. What defines low? What defines high? Difficult predict when a counter can turn into penny stock...

At current levels u all think sci is high or low?

v tricky eh. I also dunno.
PE of about 11 was when there was earnings from Oil&Gas segment.

But I bought at 4.16 (1 lot only :( ) coz I believe in oil recovery in long run. Probably when it recovers, my investment will be much paid off. :s8:

I honestly don't think the oil price is going to spike (>80) any time soon. The Saudi's don't want to cut production. Yemen + Syria + Iraqi is not enough to drive prices up. Israel is a wild card wrt to the P5+1 w/ Iran nuclear deal (which is not finalized and ratified). That wild card has the potential of driving it up, but that will bring more frackers back online, so...

Oil price is definitely not going to spike up to more than 80dollars soon as the current competition would still persist till both parties feel the pain and come to an agreement on the production output. In view of that, i believe oil price should be able to recover well in the medium term as i strongly believe, neither parties want to sell their natural resources so cheaply. Everyone is greedy and till they realise that collaboration is better than competition, we wouldnt see any real hike in oil price soon.

the capital expenditure cut by oil companies should be felt soon in Keppel Corp/SMM probably in 2015 to 2017 as they would be facing clients who want to postpone/cancel their rig orders. /drilling ship orders. At the mean time, i highly doubt, keppel nor SMM can make high profit on their Off shore marine sector in the short-term.

Entered at 4.2, take profit at 4.6... But it still going up and up and up away...
In my opinion, SI is better than SCM because it has more diversified portfolio.

in the stock market, u never know when is the top

sometimes being discipline is more important

after u sold, it goes higher u regret no sell higher
if it goes lower... u become so happy...

all these are human emotions that are not good for trading

if u did your research and home work, made a bet
and it hits your 10% target within a few months, its ok to be disciplined and take profits... what happens afterwards is beyond your control

u already done what is right, that's the mindset of a good trader

I didnt intend to be a trader. I'm a firm believer of buy good company and hold on as long as possible. But my past trades prove otherwise. Have to be much more disciplined and stick to my plan :s13::s13:
