Here's my contribution! Soi Polo Fried Chicken! http://chinchaijiak.wordpress.com/2013/09/05/soi-polo-fried-chicken-bangkok-lumpini/

This is a hidden gem in bangkok which was not mentioned as much in Singapore forum or Singapore Blogs.

They have a reputation of "Bangkok Best Fried Chicken" and i traveled down this Soi Polo Fried Chicken on the first week of September.

I personally liked it and thought it was worth the travel, and yes, the location is not exactly convenient.

I have also included the directions to Soi Polo Fried Chicken!

Ya, the chicken is nice, but i think there is another one that is better - SomTum Nua, but it's a different style one.

Soi Polo chicken is the only selling this style in bangkok, i think.

why go atas pad thai?

have u tried the original authentic first pad thai in BKK?

the cost is a fraction of your atas pad thai...

anyway best pad thai is always found on the streets.

those hotel ,foodcourt and restaurants usually cannot fight as the taste has been tweaked to tourist favor.

want authentic pad thai, go street!
even those pad thai at Khao San taste as good.

Actually there's arguments on cheap and good street food. Why so tasty? Lots and lots of MSG. But i do agree that street food is really good in bangkok.

same theory as the best hokkien mee, char kway teow and chicken rice are found in coffee shop or hawker centres instead of upclass places.
