Thai Desserts - I only know the word "Banana" and it cost 15 Baht which is about S$0.60.

543-PlatinumMall.jpg

Khao Phan are thin, steamed rice sheets made from the fermented batter of rice flour mixed with water. Here served as a wrap for stir-fried vegetables. I think this is like our 猪肠粉 (Chee Cheong Fun).

544-PlatinumMall.jpg

Poo Cha (Stuffed Crab Shells) are deep-fried crab shells stuffed with crab meat & a host of other minced meat that has been pre-cooked in Thai-spices.

545-PlatinumMall.jpg

Thai Food - I couldn't make out what this was, though it does resembled our Ngor Hiang or Wu Xiang.

Issan Sausages are common street foods in the North of Thailand. As you walk down a road way you will e beakoned by the wafting fragrance of these flavourful sausages grilling. You can eat from stick skewers or out of a lettuce cup with condiments including knobs of ginger, whole chiles, unsalted roasted peanuts, scallions and a wedge of lime to squeeze over them.

Haven't finish yet, was busy these few days. Still got one more buffet not posted yet. :D

Which roast pork you bought? The one with sesame seeds? You are right, Platinum Mall sell clothes only but outside they got stalls like our Pasar Malam selling foods only.

These huge slabs of Roast Pork were calling out to me to buy it. We don't see our roast stalls hanging so many pieces out at once.

BBQ Pork Skewers seem to be a popular snack for Thais as you can see it everywhere.

563-Bangkok.jpg

Assorted BBQ Skewers - Here you have various BBQ parts of a pig or maybe cow.

564-Bangkok.jpg

565-Bangkok.jpg

Steamed Corn on Cob - Most of us have eaten the yellow sweet corn but I was told other whitish corn is more starchy in taste and not very nice.

566-Bangkok.jpg

Roti Prata - I think the banana was for the prata.

Dropped by Pantip Plaza, the equivalent of our Sim Lim Square as my friends wanted to shop for HP covers.

568-PanthipPlaza.jpg

569-PanthipPlaza.jpg

Coconut Vendor - Nothing like a refreshing coconut to quench the thirst. The seller are ever so skillful that they can just remove the hard shell leaving only the coconut flesh intact with the juice still inside!

Grilled Tilapia Fish - The white crusty stuffs you see are the salt. You peeled the skin away to eat the flesh inside.

572-Bangkok.jpg

573-Bangkok.jpg

Crispy Pork Knuckles - OK, look crispy enough, so we bought a pack to try later but the skin was not crispy by then, and tough to chew on maybe due to the fact it was wrapped inside the cling wrap.

Before calling this a day, someone wanted to go eat the Pig Organ Soup again. This time round the seller did not add the pig blood for us. For your info, this roadside stall is only available from the evening hours onward.

Hunger satisfied, we parted ways and head back to our own place of stay.

This was Brazilian BBQ Buffet we came for. Bought the online voucher for the lunch deal.

Dining Area - Make yourself cosy in these armchairs, you can relax and read the provided newspapers and magazines.

594-Panorama.jpg

Our table was right along this row overlooking the Bangkok skyline though it was kind of misty on the window due to the drizzle earlier on. The mist however cleared once the sun came out.

595-Panorama.jpg

597-Panorama.jpg

Only five of us attended this buffet lunch as my friend's sister and her daughter wasn't keen on this.

Water Feature - They have got like a couple of this giant glass ball overflowing with water among the dining area.

598-Panorama.jpg

Dining Area - This was located in the inner room nearer to the cooking area. We chose the outer area beside the glass window since it was bright and better suited for photo taking.

599-Panorama.jpg

Here the lighting was even dimmer, I had to brighten up the photo below else it's too dark to see much.

Lets start with the Cold Cuts and DIY Salad Section which was lighter on the palate.

Assorted Cold Cuts and Cheese - Starting from the top left we have Mortadella, Salami, Provolone and Parma Ham.

602-Panorama.jpg

From left to right: Mortadella, Parma Ham, Salami and Provolone Cheese.

603-Panorama.jpg

Some of the labels are swapped and the correct order should be: Mortadella, Salami, Provolone and Parma Ham.

604-Panorama.jpg

This was one huge Parmesan Cheese Wheel and it was a chore to scrape it as it was pretty hard.
