Please do not book anything from cheaptickets.com or cheaptickets.sg. They use cheap rates to entice consumers when actually such a rate is not available. They proceeded to charge and deduct my credit card even though no air ticket is being confirmed nor issued. They will at first send an email saying is not a confirmation email or your electronic ticket. Then they will send another email saying your reservation has been cancelled by them. If it is not a confirmation, why the hell did they deduct funds from your credit card first? To make it worst, they deducted an amount more than the actual airfare! This is ridiculous.

Guys, just wanna share my frustration to everyone. Beware if you intend to buy airfare tickets at cheaptickets.sg (Singapore). I am going through a very frustrating experience with them since I first tried booking 2 tickets on their website on 6 Dec. Their website slashed twice an amount of SG$137.07 on my acct after 2 consecutive, unsuccessful transactions though the website keep prompting me that it cannot confirm the flight till on the 3rd time I tried booking, I was prompted that my bank cannot proceed with the payment as there is no enough balance left in my account. I checked with my bank & so true that they deducted the amount from the unsuccessful transactions. Till now, they haven't given back my money. Cust Service hotline is routed to India who cannot help with complaints but just to assist you with manual booking; nothing else helpful aside fr that. They can't even provide you any contact nbr to contact the respective dept in expediting such refund issuesl they will just keep telling you to send an email. No live person support for complaints. I bet they are just too afraid to listen up to their angry custs. Now the airfare ticket increased. I don't think they will ever compensate me for all these trouble & inconveniences. I should have stayed booking on normal airlines' main websites and trusted ones. So regretful. WTF!

Girls, do not ever book tickets from Cheap Flights|Airfares|Cheapest International Flight Tickets|Travel deals from Singapore|Cheaptickets.sg!
My boyfriend and I wanted to book a ticket online from sg to bali for later this month. We googled and found this website - that offers a good price for the tickets. So happily we book our tickets via cheaptickets. So when it comes to the payment page, we provided all our card info and we got this message.

It appears you are having problems completing the additional security measures required by your credit card provider. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing. Please try your request in a few minutes.

So naturally we tried again. And again on my other credit card. Same message pop up.

And what happened next? I received an SMS from my standchart account that X amount (the cost of the air tickets!) had been charged!

I WAS HORRIFIED.

Because that might mean that the 2 other times I have tried using using my debit card has been charged as well. And when I called up my bank, they confirmed that the payment has been authorised.

So we quickly called up the cheaptickets hotline. We waited a good 30 minutes before someone attended to us. The reception was horrible, the teller's accent was horrible too btw.

After telling them what had happen, they took down our details and promise to get in touch with us the next day. So we waited till 3pm next day before giving them another call. James, the supervisor, told us that the fund will be refunded to us in the next 24 hours. Told the same thing to my bf when he call in later that day. The next day, still nothing. so i called in again, repeating the same story and the teller still have the cheek to tell me that they don't have my flight booking so there's nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.

IF THERE ISN'T ANY BOOKING THEN WHY IS MY PAYMENT BEING HELD??

I found out later on from out forums that I'm not the only one that kena this.

Seriously, booked this on a Sunday, 1st April 2012, my bf is now on the phone with them again. They told him that the person that talk to me, James, the supervisor, and everyone else we spoke to during this 3 days, did not leave any remark or instruction for our case.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING, ANYTHING AT ALL, FROM THEM.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM Cheaptickets.sg

tried to purchase tickets through cheaptickets.sg, entered credit card details but showed error at the end with no confirmation provided. Yet, bank confirmed transaction went through, called cheapticket.sg hotline, wasted my time as the line always got hung up halfway or the person just puts you on hold forever.

I only hope the bank will now cancel the payment. I shall be making a police report in 2 days time should the transaction holds.

I urge all other victims to do the same if not together! Contact me either here or privately if you are in a same situation as me!

Dear Casual Traveller

There is unfortunately no option at this current moment to purchase CheapTickets.sg tickets and pay offline. We are in the process of developing our offline payment systems and will offer Paypal and eNets facilities in the near future.
Our operation in Singapore is completely online at the current moment and our office here is only servicing operations and not ticketing.

Thank you for your interest and we hope you will book with us soon.

this is untrue. your website is still allowing people to entering credit card details. That is how i got fooled into proceeding to the end with the error. transaction according to bank has gone through.

i purchased a sg-ny-sg ticket from cheaptickets recently. they had this $50 discount if you use DBS credit cards and they had the cheapest fare for the said route (via cathay pacific), so i decided to make the booking and paid for the ticket online using an DBS American Express credit card. yes, i did get a confirmation for the flight and even called the airline to check if the flight was confirmed and they said it is, however, there were 2 issues during the transaction i made with cheaptickets:

1. the $50 discount was not applied. i was told by their stupid customer service rep that i have to use a legitimate credit card from DBS that is not linked to any credit card network. where can you possibly find a credit card that is not linked with visa, or mastercard, or american express, or any other credit card network? someone named ashleigh did get back to me and the reference number for the issue i raised is #RCS-179-54594 but i never heard from this person again. i was even told to send a photocopy of the front of the card i used, but up to this day, no discount was refunded back to my card.

2. i was charged twice: one for a transaction dated 29 may (an approval code was given to me by DBS), and another for a transaction dated 30 may. apparently, the transaction dated may was the one claimed by cheaptickets. i again raised this with them, sent them the details provided by the bank and asked for them to send me an email saying that there was no double charging so i can send it to the bank for the amount to be released back to my account. well, cheaptickets was very cooperative - they DID NOT even bother replying to any of my emails. not even vayama replied. good thing the bank released the fund eventually to my account 10 banking days after the apparent transaction - was told the amount was not claimed by merchant.

the only consolation is that the flight was indeed booked according to cathay pacific. if it wasn't, i don't know how else i will get my money refunded back to me.

cheaptickets/vayama does sell cheap fares, however, their customer service really SUCKS big time.

it is unfortunate that i did not read this thread earlier.
I tried booking a ticket for my domestic helper to go home for a holiday during Christmas this year end.

Cheaptickets.sg enticed me with low air fares.
However, after entering all my credit card details, it showed me an error message to the effect that the booking was unsuccessful.

Thinking it was some error in keying in my credit card details i used another credit card. Again the same thing happened.

I called the hot line and was routed to India. They insisted that no booking was made. But i called up the bank, they told me the transaction was completed.

I am going to dispute these transactions.
I am not going to pay for 4 tickets for the same person flying on the same plane.
