The British royal family pay VERY high taxes.

I recall when Windsor Castle had a fire, repairs ran into millions of pounds, Queen E refused to pay and wanted public funds for repair, only after members of public expressed outrage did she foot the bill (she's worth hundreds of millions I believe). They get about 48 million USD from the govt which is public money, right?
