You can still get the parts and hide the wires in the recessed area.

Talk to your electrician. But some inexperienced electrician don’t know how to do smart led lightings.

Next was to select the laminates and floor tiles. Preferably I like wood grain laminates, but not too dark, something light and good quality. Looked through laminates from Lamintek, Formica and some other brands. Eventually selected the Formica oak woodgrain, it looks great, has nice wood grain and even the texture feels like real wood.

Went over to Hafary to select the tiles, and wanted something that can match the woodgrain laminates. Walked a few rounds and seen many tiles but most of them are unsuitable, and also alot of it had no stock. After which I see this light grey/beige tiles, has a matte surface and suitable as kitchen floor tiles but it was written no stock. I then went over to the counter girl and she told me just have some remaining stock. I calculated the floor area and the tiles are enough for the floor area, what a relief!

Time for next update! I had decided on the kitchen sink and faucets, Rubine ZEX-860 and ZEX420 will be a great choice (initially I wanted PRX660, but the factory had no stock) with a large and small basin. The small basin will have alkaline water filter connected to it. The two stainless steel faucets will match the 2 basins. The ID did a few iterations of the 3D CAD for the sliding door and the kitchen cabinets. Eventually, we settled on the two designs for the sliding door and cabinets. There are still minor alterations, the top cabinets are also in woodgrain laminates. Instead of track lights, there are additional work lights in natural white LED mounted under the top cabinets.

Hacking of the kitchen floor had begun, making of mortar base for the washing machine and bottom cabinets was next. We started the discussion on the electrical works. In short, there are 2x20A for the induction/ceramic hobs, RGB/warm white Led cove lights, speakers wall plates, PIR sensors cabinet Led strips, kitchen work lights, dimmers for spot lights and pendant lamp (kitchen). All the switches and sockets will be from Schneider Electric Pieno models, and I cannot wait for the installation.

The installation of the cabinet had begun and looks like it is in good shape. Spoke to the carpenter and he made some adjustments to the cabinets. There is a wooden pelmet panel to the dish rack cabinet just below the top cabinets to house the switches and sockets, with cabinet Led strips on both top and bottom cabinets. He fitted the hood and 2x hobs (refer to the previous post) and they fitted nicely. The curve ledge partition wall separates the washing machine with full height cabinets to store detergents, mops etc. The brown parcel is the automatic laundry rack waiting to be installed.
