Glad to say i have informed my wife about my problem and glad she is supportive of me.

Anyone has any banker contacts from ocbc and hsbc for housing loan? Would like to find out if i can still get the housing loan from them after clearing my DCP (earlier read a post saying some1 was successful in applying from them.)

Hi there,

If you would like us to arrange for the relevant department to give you a call on your home loan query, do drop us a PM with your contact details. Let us know as well if you are looking to refinance, or to purchase a new home.

I'm currently still on DCP and I managed to successfully get letter of offer for OCBC, DBS and SCB.

Some banks when they first hear that you are on DCP will straight away reject your home loan.

You can try these banks for your home loan: OCBC, DBS, HSBC and SCB

Citibank is subjective where the banker told me if you are in DCP they will straight away reject. But for my case, he told me to try and I managed to get IPA from Citibank as well.

I had then signed with OCBC for my Home Loan. PM me if you need any banker contacts for OCBC, DBS, HSBC or Citi.

Need some help. My cc debt is around 7-8x my monthly income. I know I can’t apply DCP. But is there a good way to pay my debt within a year or two?

Is it a good idea to ask the banks for restructuring of each debt? Will they agree on the restructuring if I never approach CCS? I’m really sincere on repaying. Just that I can only pay monthly. No family or friends to borrow me money to clear fast.

I’m currently trying to clear card by card. Just finished paying for 1 card. 3 more card to go. But hope to do it in a more efficient way.

RATING : FF
INCOME: 40760
O/S : 44048

Have you tried other banks such as HSBC? FF generally should have a chance to get approval, unless your income computed by the Bank is more than S$44K. Some banks will take the bonus into consideration when computing the annual income.

Based on the DBS T&C, technically you should be able to do so, but this will attract the cash advance fee and interest:

(3h)The Revolving Credit Facility is DBS VISA platinum card govern by DBS Card Agreement but you will not be able to apply for the following:
(i) Permanent Limit Increase;
(ii) Temporary Limit Increase;
(iii) Supplementary Card Application; and
(iv) Balance Transfer / Personal Loan.

You may wish to refer to CCS Self Help Package here to guide you through approaching the banks for a restructuring of your unsecured balances. Good luck.

Thanks hclee01!

So is it a better solution to approach the banks individually for restructuring of the debts? Will the banks feel that I no money to repay and close my accounts to demand payment immediately? Does banks give into such requests? Previously Citibank say cannot when I approach them. But my Citibank card is cleared now. Left POSB, UOB, OCBC.

It is possible that they can close your account and request for payment immediately especially if you have missed payment. If you have been paying at least the min amount promptly, they will just let you continue with min payment even though you have requested to restructure. But there are some banks that may suspend your account and let you pay off the min amount monthly at the current interest rate.

By the way, if they agree to your request, do note that most likely the bank will tag the account with closed with restructured loan. Your credit report grading will drop to HZ.

Not yet bro as they are quite a tough bank as UOB and MayBank have rejected then HSBC has a higher chance.

Anybody knows if I keep checking on my credit bureau records under individual request, will it be considered as multiple enquiry on the account and affect credit score? This is not the same as when I apply for credit cards and banks check the credit bureau. My question is, is there a distinction? Thanks

Yes it still counts as an enquiry. Too many and you’ll have the “too many enquiry” factor.

Hi all,

I just got approved for my DCP with Citi bank with AA credit score.
Can I check if my score will drop once it’s approved? Also, will it affect my job prospect with a bank? I just got offered a role with SCB. Hope someone can give me opinions. Thank you
