I'm using SCB VI to pay taxes since its only incurs processing fee of 1.6% and you get the cash upfront to your bank account while earning miles. You can still then use Cardup etc. to pay your iras bills.

Apparently SCB is not so strict on the income eligibility for the SCB VI too..

I did it once years ago, no doc required. Recently tried but was asked to provide a copy of notice of assessment. I stopped immediately. Just feel it is not too right to provide this level of degree of personal info to a payment facilitator company that gets business from me. I think they already asked for a lot - name, nric, phone number, address, now even ask for actual document of personal financial info which usually only asked by financial institution & only when one borrows

CardUp begun requesting for the tax assessment doc starting last year as it is believed IRAS has reached out to CardUp on the increased amount of overpayment, where taxpayers either leaves it there as overpayment (may presents a headache for book-keeping purpose) or; request for refund which results in wastage of public resource on unnecessary paperworks.

hence they implemented the request for assessment notice to ensure that taxpayers pay exactly what is invoiced to them to stop such practices, else CardUp may face stopping their tax-paying facilities with pressure from IRAS.

Yup, should be able to just make the adhoc AXS payment. Was in similar shoes- changed my primary a/c previously and forgot to change the GIRO for IRAS but I just paid the monthly portion through AXS
