Anyone got his China phone from Taobao worked with Singapore 3G SIM? Please share.

Usually China phones are sold unlocked but ask before you buy. I got many phones from Lenovo and Huawei they all works with Singapore 3G Cards.

that means typically 7.2Mbps at least, right?
how do I tell from looking at the specs?
any tell-tale signs such besides them stating its HSDPA, HSPA+, etc??
cos reading from aliexpress and some of the OEMs site, they like to quote GSM/WCDMA... very confusing for folks like me.

You can try asking the sales people. Sometimes for those higher end models they do state. If they don't, there isn't any way to tell as far as I know.

honestly, some of the salesppls know nuts about the phones they are selling.
they tell u one thing, but u already know its not cos u did abit of homework...

eg. i went to TPY looking for s4 mini dual sim. some of the fellows there tell me s4 mini dun have dual sim ones. i say got export set, they say never heard b4...

Normally Taobao phones with WCDMA 2100MHz 3G is sold under China Unicom (Lian Tong) 3G support on their side.

China Mobile (Yi Dong) TD-SCDMA 3G only work in PRC.

BTW WCDMA 2100 is only referring to the air interface and radio frequency, speed is determined by what HSPA release version supported by network and phone. MTK6589 phones and later should support at least 7.2 Mbps, I got 14.4 mbps on Starhub.
