Hi xiaomi user, currently they have cny promo for redmi 2 @ $149 and enhance @ $179..
Jus curious wad is the usual price they are selling? Thinking of getting for my mum.
She only use basic function such as calling and sms..so i think 1gb is sufficient..

Redmi 3 is out. There is no point to get Redmi 2 for now. Otherwise Redmi Note 2 will be a better choice.

Depends what you want to do. For me, the default software actually works quite well.

If there was only one thing they need to improve is that current Redmi only the primary sim gets 4G speed while the secondary sim gets 2G so not a good phone for other countries prepaid use. By default, the one with the phone functions enabled is the primary sim.

Could anyone advise on how to do the settings on the Redmi 2 to sound notification 1 or 2 times, instead of non-stop sound notification. Thanks.

Imagine you are away from your desk, and the calendar was set to alert you on an event, because you were away for 5 minutes and the event sound notification kicked in 30 seconds after you left your desk and the phone continuously sound for 4.5 mins until you manually turned off the sound.

My redmi 2 is on MIUI 6.5.3.0 (Global) stable.

Have updated to newer roms, but start to experience battery drain issue, so downgraded and sticking to his rom till this day.

This is my backup phone, so don't hv any accurate stats, but based on estimation, SOT should more than 6 hrs, definitely better than Redmi Note 2.

Wow that seems great! Was actually planning to get RMN2 for her because I thought the 3000mAh battery should last longer but I forgot that the screen is larger and is FHD, while Redmi 2 has a smaller screen and is just a HD screen, and also the SD410 too haha

Yes, the Camera hardware is faulty. If your phone still under warranty, please go to Mi Service Centre to replace your phone camera hardware.

how to solve the wifi issue?

very weird....initial i got this phone for my dad , I first update the firmware and connect

wifi signal very good....

after using for one month + one day suddenly the wifi become weak

on and off

Where as my iPhone still work ok leh...using wifi

never mind than I wipe , resintalll ...still can't get wifi back stable , one and off again zzz

Noticed at the Mi forum got people say cannot connect to the Mi PC assistant after latest redmi 2 update.

Anyone affected by this?

I just use the generic windows pop up rather than the software.
