Yeah the price matters more than oc or cooling system.
it's possible to OC a 1070 past 2GHz?!?!?![]()
Hi guys, it's my first time OC-ing and would like to know if I did it correctly? I'll attach the benchmarks results below and I'm using the ASUS strix 1070 on a 2560x1440p monitor
Here's my settings on the MSI Afterburner

Here's the diagnostics on GPU-Z

Here's the benchmarks before I did any OC (i'm using Win10 Pro, not sure why it indicates Win8)

Here's the benchmarks after I did the OC-ing

How I did oc was just to slowly play around with the Core and Memory clock by 25 incrementals and then go back to Unigine full screen to check for any artifacts or flickering. Once there flickering and artifacts are gone, I just saved the MSI afterburner settings. Are there any steps I missed out?
I dont know whether this information will be useful but I am currently just using only one 200mm casing fan in the front of the casing but I am planning to buy another casing fan to put at the rear soon
Your card is indeed very hot struggling for air. You will need a better way to bring air into your chassis.
