Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata isn't surprised by the criticism coming their way.
The Spain international has seen the team and individuals face some real flak in the wake of three defeats in eight days but the win at Northampton Town in the EFL Cup has at least quietened some of the negative noise surrounding the club.

When asked by MUTV if he was surprised by the intensity of the criticism, Mata replied: "No, because I feel there are always a lot of people talking about Manchester United, obviously one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"There is a lot of repercussion when we do well and not do that well. Obviously, there were a lot of people waiting for Manchester United defeats and we got it and have to face it and deal with it. Me, as a professional footballer, and all my team-mates, we don't focus on that.

"We don't focus too much on what people say or journalists write and all those things. If you start thinking about every single comment, you'd go crazy and can't play football. You have to focus on what you have to do on the pitch, train well, get ready for the game and then deliver your best level."

For me:

Rashford Ibrahimovic Mkhit

Herrera Carrick Pogba

Shaw Blind Bailly Valencia

DDG

Even though I know it will not happen...:(

Anyway I have looked at the 2nd goal for Watford again. Quite ridiculous for Shaw to be singled out tbh. It was a free kick to Watford, ball was switched to his side and still quite high when Armrabat received it, and Shaw got near as quickly as he could. I though Bailly was more culpable for not tracking and in fact directing Afro to cover the runner behind him, which resulted in Afro leaving Zuniga to cover the cross.

We really need Pogba to start doing his bit...

The problem is, we won't know whether the tactics, system, formation is being done justice by the players picked if the picked players are not performing at a good level. You can have the best intentions for the forward, for the runners, for the overlappers, for the crossers, but if it gets passed to a player who then passes it to the opponent, it really is just meh, no?

Another point supporting DaleyB playing in defence is for him to start attacks. Then what is the point of the midfielders, or for players like MichaelC? He has been made to fit that position in which we can have excellent defenders who can't make wonderful passes, but who can instinctively find MichaelC with an easy short pass, who will then kickstart the attack process. If we're going to play lob the ball forward then we should just play 5-2-3 - 5 defenders, 2 No. 10s, and 3 forwards.

I believe Blind continues to play in defence when he could have been in midfield with a view to cover Carrick's role and to give him time to gain more passing range and get better going forward because we want to SHOEHORN a certain really expensive signing who is playing cos he is that expensive? If we do not have a ball carrying defender then we will need Herrera who can't buy enough minutes

distribution out of the defence is something that is needed if the team only plays a pass to Carrick then a man will be put on him to slow down counter attacks. Our fans LOVE counter with speed. Which comes to mind how much "pace" we got up front.... oh yeah cos Wazza shoehorned in, Martial/Lingard/Rashford all suffer

Rooney is dropped and is identified as the mole in the squad. It was believed that rooney had wanted to have schweinsteiger and mata to be part of the first eleven. The club which is already has lost three games, finds themselves possibly in a leadership crisis as the club captain is in loggerheads with the manager. If history prevails, rooney will have the last say.
