Congrats T.T So jealous ya guys have the acceptance email alr

I just received the acceptance email for SMU SIS last night.

I went for the interview on the 31st of March. My GPA is 3.59.

(Finally, the wait is over!)

SIS was my only choice since I felt that my GPA was probably not good enough for other courses by SMU.

Do you think it's a good idea for me to send an appeal to be considered for their business course although my GPA is way below the 10th percentile? I think I have some good points to write about based on my experiences in e-commerce although it may not be enough to convince them.

SMU Online Appeal Info:

"You may submit an appeal if your application has been unsuccessful, or if you have been offered a place and wish to appeal for a change of course. If you have been offered admission to a degree programme and would like to appeal for a change of programme, you should accept the programme offered first while waiting for the outcome of your appeal."

I need some clarification on this, if im being offered by both NTU and NUS.

However, NTU offered me my first choice (NTU ME) while NUS offered me my second choice (NUS EE)

Since I can only accept one uni, I would accept NTU offer since that's the course I wanted and to be safe but I want to appeal to NUS to see if I can get my first choice in NUS (NUS ME).

1. Am I still able to appeal for NUS offer to try for my first choice if I did not accept NUS offer but instead accept NTU offer in the first window?
2. If so, if my NUS appeal is successful, how does it works? I need to let NTU know that I'm giving up my accepted course in the second window and accept NUS second window offer?

Thanks

2. You don't have to do anything on your part. The university admission process is carried out on a joint basis between all the local universities, meaning all the unis can see your status/what you have been offered.

Hey:) I'm aware that their are people who got into Mathematical Science and Maths and Econs with RP of 68.75, from the appeal chance rater, I got higher than that grade, but unfortunately a C in Maths. May I know those who got in, what are your grades for A Level H2 Math? Thanks!

Hi, was wondering how the appeal system for NTU is done. Are you only allowed to choose one course to appeal to or are you allowed to appeal to multiple courses? Thanks :)

Did anyone receive rejection email from NTU's Biological Science? Does it come in email or?
Hey i went for their DA interview and they told me they'd get back to me in 2 weeks but it has been more than 3 weeks, and i received an offer from NTU which was my second choice, so i assume i am rejected by bio science?

Does anyone know if ntu has exemptions for poly students?

I know that nus has 20MC exemption for unrestricted electives for all diploma students. Was wondering if ntu has the same thing?

Hi I'm in the same situation as you! Waiting for ntu to reply me. May I know if your rp is ard 70-73 or even higher? My rp is in that range and I've gotten a C for math too. I'm not sure if they will still send out acceptance letters. Quite worried :-(

some schs provide exemption, some enuf exemption for 3yr grad but let u choose btw 3 or 3.5yr.

direct 2nd yr is but a gimmick for attracting daft freshies. it all comes down to how much u are exempted. check the respective sch sites for course structure
