I think quite possible. They estimate around 10 million iphones are produced for the first launch wave Nov 3rd, for 55 countries (FYI, iPhone 6S had 13 million in the first wave). Doing some simple math:
- Assuming Singapore has the average, that means 10 million/55 = 182k iPhone X
- Assuming the number is splitted equally for Apple Store Online, Singtel, Starhub, M1, HarveyNorman, Courts and WALK-IN
- That means there will be 26,000 phones available for walk in
Of course this estimation is nowhere near the real number, as apparently the distribution of iPhone X won't be equal everywhere like assumptions above. But my point is: given there are 10 million iPhone released in 55 countries, 1000 phones for people who walk in in Singapore is quite a feasible number.
With that said, I felt the low stock hype was exaggerated. I hope those flipping becareful, it might not earn a lot or easy to let go.
But to be honest, if I went to Q, I won’t sell de lor, the efforts and sweat. Damn! Not worth to sell!
